White sneakers should not be part of formal wear, amirite?

Seeing that all fashion rules are arbitrary, why does it really matter?

Is this really an unpopular opinion? I dislike formal wear rules in general and think people should be able to dress comfortably, including in sneakers if they want, and I've always felt like \*that\* was the unpopular opinion. Who's actually doing this, wearing white sneakers with formal wear, besides celebrities who are experimenting with appearances?

i don't wear white sneakers or white anything really but if i have to wear a suit i'll be wearing platform boots

Or we just let people wear what they want. And realize that when you judge someone for not dressing like you want them to, even though they are wearing nice clean clothes. You are a horribly judgmental person, who should take a look at themselves and wonder why they care so much. These fashion rules are a hold over from the aristocracy and should be abandoned.

i will go one further and argue that it is *not* stylish, it's tacky, and ultimately it's just bro behavior. want to dress down a suit? cowboy boots. huaraches. loafers. chelsea boots. there are a lot of options
