Corn chips are better than cornbread for chili, amirite?
by Anonymous1 year ago
I did not even know cornbread and chili was a thing.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I make cornmeal biscuits with cheese baked into them whenever I make chili
by Anonymous1 year ago
Now wanting some chili served over arepas
by Anonymous1 year ago
Are you American?
by Anonymous1 year ago
Not did I.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Ive had it but I kinda felt like I was making it up.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Agreed- I do three layersβ¦. Scoop of white steamed rice, scoop of chili, scoop of Fritos β¦.. delish!
by Anonymous1 year ago
Yeah, more unpopular probably but chili with rice is the best thing too.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Chili and rice. All day.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I win chili cook offs consistently so πͺπ€·ββοΈπ
by Anonymous1 year ago
Omg why have I never combined all 3. I have eaten chili and rice together since I was a kid, same with chili and fritos. Why didn't I think of combing all 3 lol! Ty going to try this tomorrow or Sunday for sure!
by Anonymous1 year ago
Totally agree. It adds more texture.
What I'm wondering is who eats cinnamon rolls with chili? Never heard of that before.
by Anonymous1 year ago
It's a Midwest/Nebraska regional thing.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I was in Omaha a couple times. Why did you all keep this a secret from me?
by Anonymous1 year ago
maybe just nebraska
by Anonymous1 year ago
Iowa πππ
by Anonymous1 year ago
I love making Frito pie.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Hear me out, cinnamon rolls
by Anonymous1 year ago
I put cinnamon and cocoa powder into my chilli
by Anonymous1 year ago
FBI this guy right here! Jesus!!!
by Anonymous1 year ago
I honestly can't remember if I like that. It's been maybe 30 years. I'd forgotten it was a thing.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Fritos are perfect on chili.
by Anonymous1 year ago
fritos are corn chips
by Anonymous1 year ago
I dont think thats an unpopular opinion.
by Anonymous1 year ago
We call it chili salad. Lettuce, Fritos corn chips, chili, cheddar cheese, tomatoes and sour cream. Been serving it that way for 45 years ever since having it at a restaurant in Grand Junction CO. A lot of ppl skip the lettuce.
Cornbread works best with vegetable soup, beef stew, and creamed chicken.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Sounds damn good.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Nope too salty
by Anonymous1 year ago
You need better cornbread - sounds like you've been given a dry tasteless recipe.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Whatever the case, the best way to have cornbread is on its own with a bit of jam. Not with chili, imo.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I haven't tried it, but now I will.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I put store-bought tamales in chili. Mmmmm.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Gimme a fistful of crushed up fritos or torittal chips any day.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Chili over macaroni and cheese! What an epicurean delight.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Hell yeah brother
by Anonymous1 year ago
Not unpopular.
by Anonymous1 year ago
dunno man...I'm like 50/50 on this
by Anonymous1 year ago
Cornbread is overrated and honestly boring
by Anonymous1 year ago
Cornbread isn't a thing here and the concept of cinnamon scrolls with chili is, quite frankly, disturbing to me. But corn chips and chili? Yes, please. Every day of the week.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Cornbread is usually overrated IMHO
by Anonymous1 year ago
Saltines with chili are superior
by Anonymous1 year ago
Cheez-its and chili is the superior choice. You'll thank me later.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Didn't know this was an unpopular opinion. Chili and corn chips like Fritos is da bomb. So quick to whip up too if you don't feel like cooking. Love the Dennison's canned chili for that.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Okay, on par with? Sure. Better? Idk man
by Anonymous1 year ago
Fritos to scoop the chili with. Cornbread to soak up the leftover stuff in the bowl that cornchips cant scoop up. Thats what my partner and I do.
by Anonymous1 year ago
>Corn chips are better than cornbread for chili
Ritz crackers
by Anonymous1 year ago
that is called Frito Pie.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I like Fritos WTH my chili. The right size and good crunch.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Just had corn chips and chili, it was so good. A little crunch from the chips balances the texture of chili so well.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Fritos, cheese and lime is the best
by Anonymous1 year ago
Nope!
by Anonymous1 year ago
This is a no lose situation to be honest
by Anonymous1 year ago
I like it all ways. Sometimes I want cornbread, other times I want corn chips. Never tried cinnamon rolls, but I would.
This just reminds me that I want to make chili tonight.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I agree. Cornbread is the most heinous thing I ever tried to eat, though, so there's that.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I agree, but also I like chili over rice the best.
by Anonymous1 year ago
They're good, but you won't be eating the leftovers with honey butter.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Chili cheese Fritos for the win
by Anonymous1 year ago
I like my chili with rice
by Anonymous1 year ago
Cornbread and corn chips are a great for chili. Depends on my mood.
by Anonymous1 year ago
For me, it's always ritz crackers. Sometimes I'll get the roasted vegetable flavor for some extra tastiness.
