+165 People whispering in movies and series is getting ridiculous, amirite?

The Megan Markle school of acting. My wife noticed that any time she had to emote in the TV show Suits, she would start whispering instead of acting.

Just waiting for the "you are racist for not liking Megan Markle" weirdos to see this.

I like to look at her. Does that count?

That's racist

Is she supposed to be not white?

the volume and the damn brightness settings. i feel like i can never watch anything during the day with even a molecule of light because of how damn dark they make the screen. can it not be implied??? i know it's not my tv bc it's even at movies for me now.

I started noticing this years ago- glad im not the only one! I cant even watch the harry potter movies because they're just too dark visually. And the hp movies arent even the worst example.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Are you streaming them? A lot of dark movies look bad through streaming.

i have the opposite problem. cant watch anything at night cause it's so bright, even with brightness at zero. i dont want to have to turn on 3 lamps while watching a horror movie, but i don't want a migraine either

You two should swap tvs

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I'm sure that can be solved changing a few settings in your TV

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I calibrate all the presets on my tv and switch to different ones depending on light. Not much you can do about it, it's just the way light is. Do some calibrating and research on your tvs settings and you could end up with a much better picture overall, if you haven't delved into that yet.

i think it's cause it's a QLED the brights are so damn bright

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Yeah they whisper and mumble so you're like what? and turn up the volume. Then an explosion in the next scene deafens you and they laugh

by Anonymous 1 year ago

you know, yeah that suck and this force my poor mom to bring up the volume and nearly break her tv speakers by one of those explosions... i wish she could get anything better than that

I feel like m night Shyamalan invented this. Because I remember this being a disease in the 2000s.

I was just thinking about this today. It is so annoying.
