I used to think that about my ex's but they have all gone on to have apparently successful marriages and families. I didn't. I came to OPs realisation a *long* time ago. "*Everyone has a purpose, if only to serve as a warning to others*"

Yeah... I have definitely met a handful of toxic people that would absolutely call me a villain. Fortunately none of them is in my life anymore.
