Electric scooters are for lazy people, amirite?
by Anonymous1 year ago
And why wouldn't they? Humanity tends to want to make things easier not harder when it comes to technology at least
by Anonymous1 year ago
Every single transportation method was invented cause were lazy. What a nothingburger of an opinion.
by Anonymous1 year ago
bicycles are for lazy people! walk everywhere! you dont need a tool for transportation you got legs! /joking
by Anonymous1 year ago
Pretty much what I do, because I can, and because I know I should. Use it or lose it.
by Anonymous1 year ago
You pampered noble, I *crawl* everywhere since I was 1, no need for your fancy pants walking nonsense!

Bikes are good for exercise or a leisurely ride but bad for commuting. Scooter is the solution to still using bike paths but not getting sweaty on the way to work
by Anonymous1 year ago
I'd rather not sweat my ass off going up hill or honestly anywhere really. So yeah I'm lazy I'll take my escooter
by Anonymous1 year ago
Admitting it is the first step!
by Anonymous1 year ago
bikes can't zip up hills after a long day's work (unless they're electric and then it's half scooter anyway)
by Anonymous1 year ago
It's also for people who need to get around town easily without being sweaty and smelly by the time they get there on a bike.
by Anonymous1 year ago
For a good many people, exercise is a byproduct of using a bicycle.

Are motorcycles for lazy people?

"my unpopular opinion is that scooters are made for convenience"
by Anonymous1 year ago
Technology is supposed to make our lives easier.
Do you also consider dishwashers, washing machines, cars, tractors, bread makers, horse drawn carriages and anything else that's designed to make our life easier just for lazy people?
by Anonymous1 year ago
Sorry I don't want to be sweaty and stinky when going to class and sitting near people?
by Anonymous1 year ago
I'm avoiding getting an electric bike, because I don't want to be tempted. When I commute by bike, I'm doing it mainly for the exercise.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I agree, cars for long distances and bikes/feet for short distances
by Anonymous1 year ago
i passed up a chance to trade for one recently because of this. i want to get outside more, but not just standing there while the scooter does all the scootin' for me
by Anonymous1 year ago
There also for bicycle People who don't want to leave their bike parked in the city over night, or for multiple nights.
Or for bicycle people who missed the last bus.
99% of the time I use my bicycle but occasionally I'm really glad to rent a scooter.

boring

I had a coworker who couldn't lift her feet more than an inch off of the ground when walking, usually it was less. A medical condition just made it literally impossible for her to walk normally, she probably could have gone on disability rather than working. An electric scooter noticeably improved her mobility and life.
by Anonymous1 year ago
No one's mentioning how much easier it is to take a scooter to/into places as opposed to a bike as well...
by Anonymous1 year ago
I believe beeing lazy is what drives us to work to get an easier solution for a hard job... if that makes sense.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Good unpopular opinion cause I just like to get drunk and race my friends on them
by Anonymous1 year ago
I bike 75+ miles a week on a Specialized. I still think eBikes are a lot of fun too.
by Anonymous1 year ago
That would make cars for really lazy people then
by Anonymous1 year ago
Bicycles are for lazy people who refuse to jog
Seriously, you have to sit to exercise?
by Anonymous1 year ago
Do you walk everywhere? Lazy ass cyclists.
by Anonymous1 year ago
I'd like to see you ride a bike up some of the hills I climb or ride 60kmh amongst traffic. 😅
by Anonymous1 year ago
I just don't get it, for short journeys you may as well walk. For longer journeys it is quicker and more comfortable to cycle. They are a blessing for people with certain disabilities but then so are mobility scooters. I have seen a couple of people who drop their kids off at school using one to get there and back. They have got noticeably fat in the last couple of years.

op just dropped the most COMMON knowledge, as it's not even an opinion, it's just a human fact, and left the chat
by Anonymous1 year ago
People that drive cars are lazy, then.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Well I use my electric scooter to get from my house to my work. I'm not trying to exercise, I'm trying to commute. When I want to exercise, I go to the gym and run a couple miles. Sometimes my friends and I will take our bikes up to the mountains and ride trails. I guess that's also exercise, though I do that when I want to socialize. But the electric scooter is simply for commuting, just like a car.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Plus people like to use them on the sidewalks where bicycles aren't allowed
Electric bicycles are for lazy people too
