+175 Panera Bread genuinely makes some good food and I'm not sure why yall hate it so much, amirite?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's $18 for a mediocre lunch meat sandwich with 3 slices of meat and sized for a 12 year old. It's the closest to actual robbery amongst fast food chains.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Ordered some mac & cheese from there once; paid like $12 for the bowl to be half the size of most bowls sold in here in the US and it was still only half full... It was good, but I was still hungry afterwards and just went to McD's to finish filling up for a quarter of the price

by Anonymous 1 year ago

They squeeze it out of a tube like the velveeta cheese sauce and then they give it to "Chef Mike" it's robbery

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Yeah; straight robbery.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Their bread is so hard it almost hurts to eat. They sell like half a sandwich for $14, and it just be like turkey/lettuce/cheese, nothing worth eating out for. I don't even know what people like from there. The teas they make are good I guess.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

their bread is so damn good. I will die on this hill

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I got the broccoli cheddar mac and cheese once and I swear they just put noodles in the broccoli cheese soup. It was like $13 for that trash.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

The price is exactly why I don't frequent Panera Bread. Half a sandwich, a small cup of soup, a bag of chips, and a drink should not cost $18.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Why shouldn't they cost that? what should it cost?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

it has decreased in quality and increased in price over the years. every once in a great while i'll find a good quality panera but it's rare

Airport food

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Hey, I've had way better meals at airports!

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Baked at 2am, so you KNOW it's stale! How about some lukewarm coffee with that?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I love feeling like a pig when they throw a bread bowl at you with a little bit of soup in it. A great excuse to eat an entire loaf a bread.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's not that we dislike the food, it's that we don't want to pay so much money for so little food.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's overpriced mediocre food. It used to be good but the soup is watery and the bread is too crunchy with minimal fillings.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Panera 20 years ago made decent fast food. They suck now and everything is nuked in a microwave. Bread bowls are also an American abomination and should be banned.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Never had a good thing there once. And it's overpriced even if it was.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Mediocre expensive hospital food

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Because you have to pay a lot for a relatively small amount of food. If you have a limited income and a big appetite, it's not the place for you.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's over priced for the quality and portions.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

That's quite a stretch saying they "make" anything.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

They microwave most of their food.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Because their soups are pre-made off location and come in bags. All they do is heat it up and charge insane prices for it. If I wanted pre-made microwaved soup, I could have stayed home and saved a lot of money.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

$12 for a Mac n cheese is why lol

by Anonymous 1 year ago

The company I work for, the corporate office orders Panera all the time. When money is no object it's perfectly fine food. But out of my own pocket? Oh hell no. A free bland turkey sandwich is fine but you give me a $12 price tag I'm out.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I just cook for a fraction the price most fastfood places offer for smaller quantities

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I have liked most of the meals I got from Panera. The only time I got food I didn't like was when DoorDash delivered it.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

They changed the menu awhile back and I've not liked it as much since

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's good but way overpriced

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Green Goddess Salad is awesome.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

They have some good things but it's so expensive. And there isn't one close to my house.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's way overpriced for what you get.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Overpriced

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Too expensive

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I have not forgiven them since they discontinued the pepper blue steak sandwich

by Anonymous 1 year ago

They have these "value duets" combos for like $5.99 that aren't bad

by Anonymous 1 year ago

food isn't bad its also not $18 for a sandwich kinda food

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I love Panera.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Because of the price. It was good before the already high prices jumped up and the portions got smaller. The only thing I get there now is the crack lemonade.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Only things I like from there are French onion soup in a bread bowl and spinach artichoke soufflés. That being said… I don't like it enough to go there and I haven't been in many years

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Panera has gotten exponentially worse. This is coming from someone who used to work there. Yes, the bread is baked each morning. But the soups are all frozen and not fresh.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

They make good bread , nothing else .

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's hospital food

by Anonymous 1 year ago

My wife use to work there… everything is re-heated except the bread. Pastries, and soups, etc are ALL made elsewhere and reheated in the stores. It's not worth the price for reheated meals.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Their food went from aight and relatively fresh, to very expensive and very mediocre or just bad fast food. Totally not impressed and I'm always shocked they're always so packed.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I love Panera!

by Anonymous 1 year ago

You know that weird taste Panera bread has? That's called too much flour. Start there and all their food gets even worse.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

The pizza and Mac n cheese is gas idc same with the cold coffees and teas

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I'd literally stab someone for a large iced green tea they have, it's absolute heat

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It used to be good, like 25 years ago. It's not good any more and in that price range, I can find much better food.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It was great when you could get the "you pick 2" for $6. It's triple that price now.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's my comfort food. I feel good after I eat it.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Their chocolate chip cookie is amazing and worth the price
