+142 Nudism is better for the planet, amirite?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Pretty sure whatever minor benefit you imagine here will be undone by the sheer amount of chemical cleaning agents people will be carrying to clean sitting surfaces from others' crack sweat.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

ok so, thats going to a 100, im more talking about being at a 40. cloths will always be needed but i think the more people practice nudism then the better. also every nudist has a rule about taking a towel for sitting on. nude places are very clean. and cloths for work and errands also make sense. but when home, or casual, or swimming, or having cook outs, or when its crazy hot out side.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

The sheer faith you have in humanity is impressive. I fully expect fecal stains on most surfaces because people are awful.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

If you're nude you have less protection against environmental factors. People will need to heat their homes more due to them not having clothes.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

nudist exist already and they have not died of the cold. you will be surprised what your body can get used to with exposure. but that said, the idea of nudism is not to live your forever life naked. but to embrace being nude when weather permits. any amount would still cut down on waste alot.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

How would that work in countries that are in colder climates, though? Like for half a year over here you´ll be getting sick or outright freeze if you were naked outdoors. Also, have you seen people nowadays? Yeah I don´t want to see them naked thank you very much.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

well i never said go naked when its dangerous. but in a warm home then go for it. nudist exist and they have not died of the cold. and thats another thing. people are to worried about looks. like who cares. dont like what you see, then dont look.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I would probably be sick 95% of the year

by Anonymous 1 year ago

nudist exist already and dont get sick or die of the cold. even nudists know to get dressed when its cold, and to never sit anywhere with out a small towel to sit on.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I don't think you quite understand how much money I would have to spend on heating to walk naked inside, if I can't be naked inside I wouldn't be a nudist

by Anonymous 1 year ago

This is just wrong. A bigger problem is fast fashion vs. clothes meant to last. Fewer, more high quality clothing would be more reasonable.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

With women feeling harassed and sexualised with men staring at their breasts in particular clothing, can you imagine how they'll feel fully nude?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

In many oppressive countries like Afghanistan where women forced to hide nearly even their eyes, they are getting more and more abused by men. It isn't about women's clothes

by Anonymous 1 year ago

i never said it was about womens cloths....

by Anonymous 1 year ago

yep, but being naked, or dressed wont change bad people from being bad people. and i never said it would be forced. you can embrace nudism at home, its safe settings. just the more people that embrace it, even if its just a bit every day, it will help

by Anonymous 1 year ago

People aren't bad people for looking at other peoples features btw. Nudism at home would be just as weird, Christmas night grandparents, aunties, uncles, parents, siblings are all walking around naked? That seems a bit to odd to me.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It would only be weird because we're used to something different, and because in the minds of most people nudity and sex are strongly linked.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Most people in the world are against nudism. It's not somehow more extreme in America.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

not really. im not talking about nude on the streets. but like nude beaches, and communal bath houses. and we have stricter anti nude laws here then else where. but thats not really my point. my point is any bit of clothing reduction, even if its being nude at home, or just sleeping naked, will help the planet.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I'm not going to sit my bare hiney on a surface that someone else's bare hiney has been on.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

nudist edict is you carrie a hand towel on you for sitting down on.... so thats not an issue. also i never said every one needs to be naked. just being nude at home is an improvment. hell if people just went shirtless when the weather was hot it would reduce the use and waist of cloths and washiers.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I live in Canada, I think my cock would freeze off if I tried being a nudist.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

lol. i bet. but no i never ment to make it sound like i wanted the world to be naked all the time. just more often i guess. even if its just at home or where allowed. if you can drop your 3 loads of laundry down to 1 then thats an improvement and it helps. and when billions of people do that, its a BIG defrence.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

![gif](giphy|SSQ65B9uniSoZD7Bpi) Be careful what you wish for. I can disrobe but you will question the benevolent creator.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

haha, many think the same before trying nudism. but you learn quick...that nudists dont care. its great for self esteem and body image.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Why be totally nude and not just wear as little as possible? We can wear shorts and no shirt. Pretty much the same.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Clothes are an evolutionary adaptation that obviously improved our ancestors' ability to survive in hostile environments. Going in the opposite direction seems an unwise choice.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

never said every one had to be naked all the time. just being nude at home, when its warm, or sleeping nude can lower the usage and waist of fabrics. thats more of what im saying. small things add up if billions of people do it.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Yea this isn't going to massively increase sex crimes or anything

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Objectively true, but most people aren't comfortable with it.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I think asking for clothes to be made with biodegradable materials (natural dye, natural fiber) is a more realistic change people could fight for.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

That is one very good reason, yes

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Was your starting point environmentalism or horniness?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

where was horniness every mentioned? be naked in your own home. still a net positive for the environment. on the daily a person has pajamas, casual cloths, work cloths, and work out cloths. and amount of reduction is good. even if its just the pajamas and casual cloths while at home is good. also you can cut out work out cloths if your the kind that works out at home also. why do you assume nudism is sexual?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Are you under the impression that nudists don't even own clothes?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

No thank you

by Anonymous 1 year ago

why not? and im not saying it has to be all the time. even if its just at home and alone it could help reduce the amount of cloths bought and washed on the daily. if every person did a little bit, that thats a billion bits that add up to a big change.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Whether or not it's better for the planet is irrelevant, I have less than zero interest in seeing the vast majority of people naked.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

never said people have to be naked the whole time. being naked at home or even while sleeping will still reduce waste and help the planet. might not be much but every bit helps. please dont strong man my argument.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Clothes are the reason we don't still all have to live in the tropics. That hypothermia's a bitch. As is not having shoes ... you tried that?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Ehh no. I live in a cold, damp country. Nudism would quite literally kill us.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

im not saying everyone should walk around in public nude. being nude in your home is enough. just the more people embrace nudity the less clothing will be used. reducing waste.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I think a happy medium here would be best/most practical. Like if all people wore just underwear and a bra only if they wanted to. Another happy medium could be a world-wide uniform. Something comfortable and practical. No one would care about fashion anymore. And maybe it would lead to greater equality. You wouldn't immediately know who was rich and who was poor if everyone wore the same thing.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I'd rather take negligible planet damage over sitting in other people ass sweat and undercheese. I do not trust people's hygiene that much. Plus I just don't want to see naked bodies all the time. Y'all ain't that attractive.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Nudism? Naah. Just look at "The Flintstones" clothing fashion and how folks used to do it wayyy back.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Uhm, but it's cold right now here?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Would be totally lovely to walk around naked in 3 degrees celsius in november. 🥶

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Ever tried living in places that have actual winter?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

If you walked around naked where I live you collapse from heat stroke in an hour. Clothes were invented for a reason the human body can't with stand most environments without protection.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Skin cancer rates would soar.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I'd only be comfortable nude if we blast the heat to 75+ F. I don't think blasting the heat higher is better for the planet.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Why? So the evil blazing sun up there could ruin my skin?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I agree. There would be less violence and more sexual opportunities for people. Though this likely wouldn't work in places like Minnesota and Maine, etc.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Also, shoes should still be thing, obvs.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Skin cancer says hi

by Anonymous 1 year ago

ah yes, because every nudist around the world is riddled with skin cancer.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

In Chicago in the winter it can be -20 F with wind chills of -60 F. So….people should die?
