I have tons of respect for you. I can't believe I'm actually talking to somebody from the 1800's right now.

Nobody has been a slave since the civil war

I used to work at Verizon. So maybe think before you speak? ***sarcasm*** lol

90% of the working population in the world would like to object.

But all the slaves are dead now. There isn't anyone to give a slave discount to, or thank them for their service. Seriously though, I think many people who know the history of this country know it was built on the back of slaves (especially the South) do have a lot of sympathy, respect, and acknowledgment for what they did (or rather were forced to do).

I have literally never heard a sane person say "forgive and forget slavery" or anything remotely close to it.

The only slaves in the US are the victims of human trafficking, and people who are in prison for a crime. The former deserve our help and sympathy. As for the latter, I'm mainly concerned that they not have been wrongfully convicted.

"We"

Yes, Slaves did build this country, But that kind of slavery is gone from the USA. But there are Prison Slaves (they are forced to work for pennies a hour), Then there wage slaves, and everyone knows what that is

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Yeah after I pay for my living expenses I'm also working for pennies an hour.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

thats why i called us wage slaves

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Yeah and a prisoner who doesn't work would be a freeloader.
