Most people are generally nice, even celebrities (who, after all, are just people). Sure, there are asshole celebrities, but there are asshole non-celebrities.

I ran into an obscure band years ago at a hotel bar. I didn't have my phone out or anything and we sat and talked for literally hours about everything. One of my core memories!

I met Little Richard in an elevator in the pre-smartphone days. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Most celebrities are nice and appreciate their fans. Even before cameras were everywhere, if they were assholes, word would still spread.
