+573 Casino (1995) was tremendously better than Goodfellas (1990) amirite?

Ahhh, if life was always this good, choose between two masterpieces

Well all of the depictions of these people are BS since they are lowlife degenerates with rocks for brains and it's Hollywood's job to turn that story into an artistic masterpiece… Casino is a great film though, four star stuff. There is absolutely no doubt about that.

The mafia wasn't really "degenerate lowlifes" mostly… a lot of people in Boston and NYC liked them, and wanted to be in their neighborhoods. And considering all the money they made and people they bought off, "rocks for brains" seems unfitting as well. Some complicated schemes they pulled off

I suggest you read "The Luthansa Heist". Based on what Hill claims, most of those guys were dumber than a box of rocks. That is why he and Burke were so successful. They had something resembling competence, which put them head and shoulders above most of the front line guys.

Wrong

There would be no *Casino* without *Goodfellas* having laid the foundations.

There would be no movies at all, had the silent pictures not laid those foundations. That doesn't mean the silent pictures are better than what we have today.

I've watched Goodfellas probably two dozen times; I've watched Casino once and have no interest in seeing it again.
