"Your mom" jokes are the best comebacks on the planet, amirite?

It's true! How can you argue a your-mom joke? How do you respond without sounding just as dumb? It's like declaring that you don't take the other person seriously and from that point on, anything they say doesn't matter; the more they get heated and try to get you to take them seriously, just amp up the your-mom rate. The only comeback for a your-mom attack is to tell someone to grow up.

I do it very rarely, maybe once every 3 years at most for the surprise factor, but I will occasionally use a 'your mom' joke what I'm talking with my kids. What can they say when you are the mom!? lol They will also use 'your mom' jokes with each other in front of me, in which case the appropriate response is yelling "Hey, I'm standing right here!" and waving my arms around. Everybody laughs.

I find that "Who?" Followed by "Cares." Is such a beautiful shut down. Like it gives them false confidence that they have a chance "educate you" only to have that confidence shattered as they realize they have fallen into the trap.
