+2 There's a big difference in being lonely and being alone, amirite?

by Anonymous 5 months ago

These two things have nothing to do with each other. Very acutely pointed out.

What about feeling lonely? Is it closer to being lonely or being alone?

thanks for this conversation

Nah, it's really not a big deal

I guess in my words it would be closer to being lonely. I love being alone, but I don't feel lonely at all so I'm not being lonely. I guess we all from time to time feel lonely.

The most lonely I've been was with/in a group of people.

Kinda relatable for me. I'm just really not very outgoing, that's why only "kinda"

I am. True ADHD type but the feeling of not being able to be myself was so damn horrible.

You know, I think I was born with undiagnosed ADHD, but I live in a country where it's practically impossible to get such diagnosis even if you have one, and the stigma is strong here. I remember I once visited school psychiatrist because of troubles with reading, and I tried to, like, hint at ADHD (no, I didn't just diagnose myself there), but when she had heard about my problems with attention and reading, she just kinda gave a generic advice like "concentrate, train your attention, etc.". And a lot more of stupid and generic advices. I was so happy to end this stupid talk and walk out of that fool room that on my way home I literally bumped into a tree in a very cartoonish manner, like in "Tom and Jerry". On a more serious note, yeah, I know this feeling when you don't feel like you can truly be yourself and express yourself among your surroundings

Yep realized this when I was 14...its been 13 yrs and I cant keep saying I like being alone anymore.

Well, sorry, but I can't agree with you here, I feel like I like and need to be alone, it gives me time to think, wonder and ask myself questions. But hey, maybe I just didn't find my person yet
