No some people literally have a blank in their mind. They can describe an apple because they have seen an apple but they can't visualize an apple.

Everyone can recall what something looks like, is that not a form of visualisation?

Idk how it works, but I think it's more for visualizing specific images rather than having a memory. Like I know what my roommate looks like but that's a different sensation from actually visualizing her actual face.

Memory and visualization are actually related. One side effect of aphantasia is poor autobiographical memory

I can't recall what something looks like visually. I hear a description in my mind. The only time images show up in my mind's eye it is entirely involuntary and lasts a split second

For me it's like I'm visualizing whatever object you describe or that I'm thinking of, except it's in a pitch black area. I know the item is right in front of my minds eye, but my eye might as well be closed. I know what my car keys look like, what my wife's face looks like, but it just doesn't resonate in my head.

Yet another "opinion" that's really just an incorrect fact. Scientists have studied it. It exists.

Is it that unbelievable to you that others might think differently from the way you do?
