+11 There is no reason why toy companies do not produce adult sized rideable toy cars. amirite?

You mean like a go cart? Or an atv or side by side? Or a smart car. They make all kinds of toy car like vehicles for adults. And the reason toy companies don't make them is because there are tons of companies that already make them.

They are still legit vehicles, not meant to be used as a rideable toy. I was referring to the same sort of toy car used for 2 year olds but scaled up to adult size.

What is the difference between toy car scaled up to adult size, which is meant to be used for fun and not genuine transportation, and a go cart, which is a small car big enough for an adult and also meant to be used for fun and not transportation? How do you make an adult sized toy car any different from existing products? You can put a pink plastic shell and a Barbie sticker on a go cart, but it's fundamentally the same as what's on the market.

The motor.

You can't make a little tykes car bigger and expect it to support the weight and stress of an adult. As it gets bigger, you have to make it stronger. That's why they use metal and bigger parts. That's where go karts came from. Then they made them bigger and better so it could handle more then just flat parking lots.

Yes. Somebody understands.

Well, there are reasons not to. Money, for example. But I get your point.

True. There would also not be a consistent demand for those products.

In the past, battery technology wasn't good enough. Today we have good battery technology, but the size and weight of the vehicle and batteries would make these very expensive. Like $2000. The smaller kid size doesn't need to account for much weight and thus requires a smaller battery. Accounting for a larger vehicle and 5-10x weight, will make it $$$. Probably going from plastics to metals as well.

They do. They're called side by sides.

That is a legit vehicle, not a toy.

People use them for fun. Anything is a toy if you play with it.
