Finaly a REALLY unpopular opinion. Also agree with you

As someone who's 31 and still looks 18, agreed. I've never understood the appeal of looking young. Random strangers who are significantly younger than you think you're attractive enough to have sex with? Gross. I'd rather be recognized as a peer by other adults. There's nothing like being in a conference and having someone 5 years younger than I am start giving me unsolicited advice about job hunting.

When you are 50 and look 40, you will think it's the best thing ever. It's all relative to perspective.

I agree, especially the part about jobs

As someone who has looked young their entire life, from the ages of 10 till about 30, it definitely wasn't a good thing. Nothing worse than being an 18 year old looking like you're 15 or a 25 year old looking like you're 20. But being a 35 year old and looking 26… that's a good thing

Wait until you turn like 30

I agree that it's not such a big blessing as people make it out to be. I'm in my late twenties but I'm small, don't use a lot of makeup and look young, so people very often think I'm a teenager. As a result, people who don't know sometimes don't take me seriously, because they think I'm still a 'kid'. This sometimes is a problem at work as well, and it made dating way harder - cause lot of guys just think I'm a teenager, so they're not interested.

i love looking younger i hope i do forever lol

Nah, I wanna look youthful forever. You finish physically maturing around 16-25 (varies from person to person). Everything past that is just decay, not growth. Anyone saying anything else is just coping.

It could be a lot worse haha, I'm in the same boat but i think I'll appreciate it later. Only thing it sucks for is dating, i don't like being perceived as too young by potential partners

This is a problem that will solve itself.

Are you a straight male?

Agree! I'm in my early 30s but people think I'm in my mid 40s. It's crazy how credible I can sound to people just because of it.

I'm 25, and still have people taking a sweet time looking at my license when I'm carded (why would I lie about being born in the 1900s) and my height makes it worse because being 5'0" makes you look even younger than you look already
by Anonymous1 year ago
I hear ya. I was the same and it drove me nuts in my 20s, and my 30s a bit. It gets better! I'm middle aged now, and most people think I'm 10 years younger. 15 if they listen to me. Lol. Hang in there! You're gonna love it later.

Yes, and I feel like it hinders me professionally as well. Although you are not allowed to discriminate for age, people are automatically biased when they see what they think is a teenager instead of a nearly 30 year old. Especially for management positions, positions that require authority or experience in a job.

I wish I had your problems. I would love to look younger than I am. Embrace it while it lasts. Eventually, you will look old and you will wonder why you were ever concerned about looking younger than you are.

It's actually great when you get older.

Not if you're like in your 20s or 30s I don't think. It's a blessing when you're 70 and look 40 tho.
