I agree that someone should try and fix the "burning through retinas and out the back of your head" aspect of LEDs. That said.... the reason people go for LEDS is the whole "lasts for freaking ever" aspect. halogen headlights are rated for like an absolute max of like 1000 hours? LEDs are rated for 50000 hours. ITs hard to argue with having to buy 50 halogen headlights vs 1 LED if only for the pain-in-the-ass factor of only having to replace them 1 time vs 50 times

Yet halogens are inexpensive compared to the LED lights and the cheaper LEDs will probably last even shorter than the halogens
