Ford makes a better EV than Tesla. amirite?

Tesla under musk was almost always about creating the infrastructure and technology for EVs more than the actual cars themselves. That's why Musk made all of his companies battery research public every couple of years. Tesla will make more from renting out their network to other manufacturers than the cars anyways

I don't think anybody makes a lower build quality vehicle than Tesla, so not really that unpopular of an opinion.

Not according to the sales numbers for EVs. Maybe that changes but every single "Tesla killer" has been acquitted so far.

What metric are you using to determine which is better? Tesla has Ford beat on range, tech, & performance.

How so? Be specific with evidence. The Mustang Mach E is hot garbage. I was test driving one and even the salesman said to buy a Tesla if I wanted an electric car.

Electric cars were always gonna go this way anyways. It's in everyone's best interest to have a universal charger for things like cars as that's the only way to really make the infrastructure work. Tesla was also always gonna lose some of their advantage as the whole industry will eventually have to shift to electric vehicles. Teslas advantage was being the first premium luxury car that became mainstream, they have already solidified themselves and are now just gonna be one of the many automakers.

I agree. Any EV that doesn't let you coast when your foot is off the accelerator and apply the regen brakes when pressing the brake pedal is no good IMO. I don't get how so many people are okay with Teslas.
