In teaching circles there's a fair bit of discussion about skills that weren't gained during COVID. We're having to reteach more of prerequisite material. They don't even have good cheating strategies.

I feel completely the opposite. This generation makes me proud. It's the most aware, considerate and empathetic generation I've ever seen. It's also the most knowledgeable. We're in good hands.

I dunno. I've never met a teen had more than a few decades of experience with anything. /s Along with all that, they're also more cosmopolitan. I'm eager to see what happens when a generation that grew up with the ability to easily talk with people around the world gets their hands on power.

A lot of that is probably from social media, he internet and smart phones, we're not available mostly to the previous generations. I bet that has a lot to do with it. Like the difference between domesticated and wild animals. They are just not built the same anymore

IQ is not an accurate measure for intelligence of a population. Dropping IQ scores do not indicate a population somehow getting dumber.

Absolutely incorrect. We're seeing kids passing exams with more A's than ever before, and those tests aren't getting any easier. I do think they have absolute ZERO social skills though, but in terms of academic intelligence? Nah they're way smarter now.

If I'm being honest I strongly believe they are getting As because school just got easier. not only are teachers trying less but I have 5 siblings and all of them use a chromebook at school. they have even admitted to cheating because they can just look up the answers when the teacher is not looking…

It looks like teaching kids that America is an evil, racist colonizer. It looks like terrorizing children based on apocalyptic climate predictions that have NEVER come true. It looks like teachers and educators intervening in people's families based on political opinions that they've somehow twisted kids to believe are crimes.
