+34 I like Joe Rogan, amirite?

This seems to only be unpopular. He literally has one of the most popular podcasts lol most people that dislike it do so because they hear a sound bite here and there that doesn't fit their narrative.

He's hated because he's a celebrity that dares to interview people with all kinds of ideas and opinions, rather than only the "right" ideas and opinions. The people that hate him not only don't want to hear opinions that are in opposition to their own, they don't want anyone else to hear them either.

He's a great litmus test. It's okay to not like him because tastes vary but when someone oozes hate for him you know they were just told to hate him. There's nothing about him that should elicit such a strong emotional reaction.

Im with you on this, he sounds such a cool guy, he's just your regular bro, idk how people can hate him lol

Looks like he is currently ranked as having the fourth most popular podcast. Lots of people like him, clearly.

I think he has interviewed some interesting characters in his show.

I don't feel one way or the other about him personally, I'm mostly indifferent. I like his show. But the internet told me I have to not like him. Bleeeeahhh

Hate? Maybe. I'm sure there are plenty of people like myself who have listened to enough Joe Rogan to know that we aren't fond of him even if we don't ‘hate' him.

That's what he's saying. The people who foam at the mouth with hatred obviously never listened because they'd see he's a normal old dude not some ideologue.

That's the impression I get. They think he's like Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh, or Sean Hannity. He's basically an older dude with center right views but probably pretty good at heart. That's my take.

I've listened to a fair amount. Quality definitely nosedived over the years. And he has dug his heels in with general ignorance. Tbh his reaction to the literal ape expert was to mock her and not let her speak was enough for most rational people to realise he's a bit of a doofus. Is he the devil? No. Does he pretend to be open minded? Yes. Does he celebrate ignorance in his own way? Yes.

Regardless you can see videos of him not being open minded

I know he thinks men shouldn't fight women in MMA.

He has strong opinions on certain things and one of those things is what the left is doing to this country. That's why he's hated. He speaks his mind on things and the supposed "tolerant" left can't handle it.

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

does he? As a very frequent listener, I honestly have a hard time finding examples of him "hating". There's friendly banter and normal conversation. I don't recall him doing anything beyond the norm in that regard.

Joe Rogan is neither a genuinely good guy nor the devil. He's a guy and his socioeconomic class, life experiences, DMT trips, family, genetics, traumas etc. are what shape him into the guy he is today. He does platform some questionable ideas for the sake of money, but it's his upbringing that lead him to be that way. I don't blame him for it. I also won't put him on a pedestal. He's a human being just like you and me.

The disdain isn't because he had a casual chat with someone. He picks his guests and gives a platform to people who he knows will say off the wall stuff that will be devoured and repeated by his audience. It's not some innocent, quirky podcast version of conspiracists say the darndest things.
