Sounds like you don't have any issues requiring therapy. This is like saying casts are dumb because you put one on and didn't see any improvement when you didn't have a broken arm in the first place.

Yes, I would agree if what you described were therapy. It is not. Something like CBT is significantly different from that, and the tasks become ingrained in your daily existence.

I think a good friend would check up on you when they know you're in therapy working on your mental health as they would if you were physically sick/injured. OP you might want to speak to a mental health professional to unpack this stance you have. Therapy is not paying someone to have a chit chat. And you're definitely not talking 90-95% of the time. It's tough and requires a lot of hard work if you are using it to better your mental health and relationships in your life.
