+47 Mac and cheese ain't all that, amirite?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

you obviously haven't tasted MY mac and cheese

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Let me guess, you put extra cheese in it to make it cheesier? 🤣

by Anonymous 1 year ago

oh no, the secret is out

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I'm going to live longer than you out of spite, so when I visit your memorial, I'll put a box of Kraft right there in front of it

by SheepherderAlone7063 1 year ago

Kraft is actually the only Mac and cheese I don't have an issue with. I just don't go out of my way to eat it and I never buy it.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Mac and cheese just so plain. Spicy buffalos chicken really got it going but I still think It just a normal pasta dish with cheese.

by Typical_Plum_8755 1 year ago

I especially hate the reg kraft Mac and cheese. It's slimy cheese water

by Charlotte99 1 year ago

The secret is condensed milk. Most people don't make it the best way possible.

by Acceptable_Leek 1 year ago

Finally, an actual unpopular opinion

by Popular-Cockroach 1 year ago

Was Leslie Knope here 😂

by Warm_Passenger 1 year ago

I dont think it's unpopular outside of the US. Nobody else gets the hype

by Hot_Item 1 year ago

Go ahead and die on your hill. I'll sit over here and eat my macaroni while I wait.

by wehnerbernardo 1 year ago

Dem fightin' words

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I like a classic home made mac and cheese, with a high quality cheddar, baked in the oven. It's great comfort food. You can think it's boring, but I think it's simplicity is what makes it so good. Anything that tries to "upgrade" it with like, five types of cheese, weird powders, bacon, whatever, makes me lose interest. I'd never go to a food truck for it.

by sonnyrodriguez 1 year ago

Ok you're allowed to like what you want, but where on earth are you finding all this FLAVORLESS CHEESE

by andreshermiston 1 year ago

I had Mac and cheese for breakfast, lunch, and dinner yesterday. //I really need to eat healthier. I almost had it again today but decided not to because I don't want to die But if health wasn't a concern, I'd eat Mac and cheese every day.

Mac and Cheese is a childhood food for a lot of people, and when you're feeling depressed it can help cheer you up pretty easily. Same goes for Little Debbie or Hostess snacks.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Regardless, it's a childhood thing for a lot of people, and if you had a pleasant childhood, you can eat these meals/snacks to bring you back to those simpler days. Like for me, I sometimes want to go get dinosaur chicken nuggets because those are a childhood favorite of mine. It makes me happy.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I can see that I guess. I was raised in an Asian household and American snacks were seen as a luxury item for once in a blue moon, because of all the sugar

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Understandable. It should be like that, but alas, there's a reason the US is 36th highest in Obesity rating.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

36th highest? I'm shocked we don't come in at number one.

by olafcruickshank 1 year ago

I feel like it's a very American/Canadian dish too. A childhood staple for them. Not really a dish of much importance elsewhere

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's delicious but yeah… there's better use of your carbs for sure! Fries, wine… that's good

by Salt-Employment5131 1 year ago

Yes it is. And a bag of chips.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Depends on the flavor. Plain chips and Doritos can go eff off.

by CommitteeEarly9522 1 year ago

You're wrong!!!

by Klutzy_Builder 1 year ago

As far as I'm concerned mac is just one of many options as a vehicle for cheese.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

You just haven't had really good Mac & Cheese.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Never heard that one before

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I totally agree. Everyone I knows can eat it daily. Even the gross blue box stuff. It's just blah to me.

by cummingskendall 1 year ago

Wrong.

by Inevitable_Trick8453 1 year ago

Yay! I've finally met someone else who thinks that mac and cheese is overrated!

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Now this is a unpopular opinion

by Myrl87 1 year ago

mac and cheese. nothing added is pland and has no texture, add some ‘bacon' and onions with some good herbs and spices ye got ye self a good meal

by jjacobi 1 year ago

Bread crumbs and jalapeños.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Lobster

by Willow46 1 year ago

Why did you put bacon in quotes?

by Klutzy_Builder 1 year ago

(These are parentheses)

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Whoops.

by Klutzy_Builder 1 year ago

Bacon bits lmaooo

by luis60 1 year ago

Yeah. It's basically one-note flavor wise, texture wise and color wise. Just yellowish orangish cheesy mush. That's why it's classic toddler food. Not sure why it's a food truck item (guessing it's cheap as hell to make). Not that I hate it, but it is super boring generally

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Mac and cheese may be the most overrated food ever. It's for lazy parents.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

You realize not all Mac and cheese is boxed, right?

by rempelpercival 1 year ago

In the world of stodge, it's pretty stodgy.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Do you like any pasta?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Yes I love pasta (when done right, not many Americans can make it good)! Just don't like Mac and cheese

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Lobster mac and cheese though, now we can talk. But 10 or so years ago mac and cheese was having a bougie moment in nyc and east coast. Thankfully mostly moved on from that

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's really easy to do badly. I don't like baked Mac and cheese. It's always dry. Also using different cheeses can change the flavor profile. I like white cheddar Gruyère and fontina.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I still cry over Bob Evens 6 cheese mac and cheese Please bring it back, Walmart.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Would you like to try my cheese fondue with noodles?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I used to feel this way about mac n cheese. Then one day I was really hungry and that was all that was available to eat that was warm. I decided to crumble some 'everything' ritz crackers into it. It took it from 'choke this down to quell hunger' to something I actually seek out on a semi regular basis.

by Qwitting 1 year ago

Okay well you're wrong, BUT it's okay to be wrong!

by Leading_Place 1 year ago

And it's okay to have bland taste buds my friend!

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Food trucks and restaurants dedicated to only mac and cheese?! Where'd you say you live?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

People like different things. Get over it.

by Jazzlike-Thing 1 year ago

It's mac and cheese for crying out loud. You get over it

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I'll eat the boxed mac and cheese till the day I die. Imo, nothing else is as good

by Anonymous 1 year ago

agreed .. Iloved it when Iwas a carbwhore child and it is delicious .. one forkfull is enough now. might as well just eat a pound of bacon

by VegetableGroup 1 year ago

My kids disagree. That seems to be all they want to eat.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Have you tried the soul food way?

by Pretty_Assumption 1 year ago

Homemade is WAY better

by AffectionateNeck 1 year ago

I love Mac n cheese. But I don't do plain cheese sauce. I use garlic, onion, and really mix things up. Plain pasta is boring

by Anonymous 1 year ago

2 bites and I'm done

by Kosspalma 1 year ago

You need to try MY homemade Mac n Cheese!

by Anonymous 1 year ago

My husband's family recipe is the best Mac and cheese I've ever had in my life and I've had a lot of different kinds of Mac and cheese.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Hurry up and die on that hill then so I don't have to keep listenin to ya.

by konopelskierick 1 year ago

Oh yeah, but you haven't tried MY mac and cheese 😏

by BestShip 1 year ago

Forreal! It's just waxy pasta!

by Anonymous 1 year ago

No that's unpopular! I love it, damn

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I agree. Like idm Mac and cheese but I don't understand why people go crazy after it. And yes I've had all sorts of it from various stores and people.

by hermangrady 1 year ago

Man, tell me you've never had Annie's Mac and cheese without telling me, you know? It's got a bunny on the box and everything so...

by Ankundingkenned 1 year ago

Call me a heathen but most the time homemade baked macaroni and restaurant macaroni are bland and dry. Nothing special about it. I'd take the Kraft box over the ‘good stuff' most days but find a lot of pasta to be boring in general.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Agree. Just GAG

by yfeil 1 year ago

It's ur age group. Most 6-106 yr Olds love cheesy mac

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Formerly fat me would fight you to death over this. Current healthy me agrees. My taste has changed. My sister's husband does a homemade version that's pretty good, but when I had it this past Easter I was like okay I'd rather have potatoes, ham and other things that don't have to be dressed up to taste good.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Blasphemy

by Anonymous 1 year ago

LIES AND CALUMNY!

by Cloyd07 1 year ago

Man I just love cheese. I eat shredded cheese out the bag and slices of American cheese as snacks often. So of course I'ma go crazy for some regular Mac n cheese. If it's covered in cheese then I'm in love and I will eat it.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Boiling the noodles in broth, using sour cream and various seasonings changes everything.

by elias11 1 year ago

I make a great mac and cheese though.... first I make a roux, then I turn that into a bechamel sauce, then I turn that into a mornaise sauce, then I add the pasta. I also like adding pancetta too to fancy it up a bit. You may or may not like it. I've had mac and cheese in restaurants n stuff and they tend to be a bit bland! I think it's just... creamy cheese pasta is nice. Surely you like carbonara?!

by Anonymous 1 year ago

The amount of people putting real Mac and cheese and Kraft dinner in the same category is scary. Nothing that comes out of a box is a good as it's homemade counterpart. Kraft dinner is lazy Mac and cheese and doesn't even taste like cheese.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I've had great mac and cheese and I've had underwhelming mac and cheese. I'll agree that I understand the skepticism in many cases.

by aylin01 1 year ago

I've been craving some "Kraft™ Mac and Cheese"' this whole week, as well as the most low effort 'americanCheese+ham+mayo+whiteBread' sandwich.

by Cleveboyer 1 year ago

as long as you die, doesnt matter where

by No_Elk_5749 1 year ago

but what if you added a bag of chips?

by Sengerkelsie 1 year ago

all the white people are going to get mad. putting cheese in wierd pasta shape is the pinnacle of cooking, white people need something to brag about

by Anonymous 1 year ago

idk man the mac and cheese at LTL last year had me spending $13 TWICE A DAY FOR THREE DAYS on it

by efrain72 1 year ago

Your opinion isn't valid

by Amazing_Editor 1 year ago

An unpopular opinion is fine. I'm doubtful that the majority of folk have strong feelings about Mac n cheese. That you're puzzled that some folk enjoy a thing you do not is worrisome, as is your unnecessary hyperbole.

by Katlyngibson 1 year ago

It is truly, genuinely, not that serious my guy. Breathe.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I think they really like mac and cheese and are triggered

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Uh oh, opinion police over here 🤣 watch out

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Add hamburger and salsa to it

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Cauliflour cheese? Now we're talking. Mac & cheese? Meh.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Mac and cheese is pretty good, but I mean if anyone goes crazy over them, I just assume they're probably white and the only things they eat are other similar food

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It just looks so incredibly unhealthy. I can't eat it

by lubowitzkale 1 year ago

Mac and cheese is godsend. It's so boring but somehow amazing. How can it be SO BASIC and be so FIRE? exactly.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Mac SALAD... (+Pesto)

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I like it better from a box with cheese sauce than any home made version. Add a can of tuna and a little pepper and I'm good to go

by BrilliantConcert 1 year ago

Place near me makes a Mac n cheese with bacon, breadcrumbs, and mushrooms that is pretty dang good.

by runolfssonwinst 1 year ago

Broken taste buds

by Anonymous 1 year ago

If you add enough stuff to it, it is, lol. But plain, no, ugh.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

You haven't tried MY truffles Mac and cheese

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Thank god because I hate mushrooms too 🤢
