Throwing someone a life jacket isn't gonna do you any good if they somehow have overcome their sense of self preservation and decided they really don't want one. I'm not saying the problems being alluded to here are well handled but if it were as simple as offering them some help then we'd probably have this issue figured out by now.

Are you sure you're looking at a maze? It's hard to tell the structure when yo are looking at it from close up. Sometimes different perspectives show that what one thinks is a maze is more of series of paths leading us a similar direction. Really though, I have no idea what you are referring to.
