Are you saying that TV poorly captures human's capacity to be in general day-to-day operations reasonability? I for one am consistently unreasonable with myself all day every day, that's not even me being pessimistic.

Most conflicts in real life come from someone being unreasonable

And then you realise half of the law is predicated on "reasonable" interpretations.

Pretty realistic tbf

But Harry Potter would have been very quick had he confided in Dumbledore. Had Anakin spoken with Obi Wan, the Republic would stand. Etc.

To be fair. Thats reality.

The best ones are where you aren't sure who is the one being unreasonable.

Lost - The plot hinges on a group of survivors crashing on a mysterious island. The survivors must work together to figure out the mysteries of the island and attempt to find a way home. That's the main premise. So, I'm not sure your point is entirely accurate

The plane was being unreasonable by not staying in the air

Lmao

Ben Linus was unreasonable. He had the resources to help them off the island. Then, in exchange for his help, Jack would have been happy to give him the surgery he needed

I had read it as the overall series, not episodes. Yes, Ben can be unreasonable, but the show isn't solely about Ben. Which is why I didn't mention it. After realizing OP said episodes, I admitted my fault.

I'm making an argument for why the entire show hinges on someone being unreasonable. He could have solved the main conflict of the show immediately if he were sensible

Perhaps, however, as Season 5 and 6 show, Ben wasn't the real one pulling the strings. Everyone in the main group was chosen by Jacob and would have found a way to be on the island anyway

"Most" is the key word there

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Each episode of the series. Not the whole series.

by xcruickshank 1 week ago

Ah, I had missed the word episodes. Fair enough
