The mean and median human has 2 legs.

by Anonymous 3 months ago

Woops. You're right.

What about significant digits? We're measuring legs in wholes with no decimal points right? The average would still be 2. But if we "the average human has 2.00 legs," then we can say 1.99. My highschool math/physics/chemistry teacher would have a cow if we just added decimal points that weren't measured.

In a similar vein, humans on average have a single testicle.

Median vs mean. Great example why there are different ways to determine the "average"

Most people have an above average number of legs.

by Anonymous 3 months ago

No, humans on average have ~2.00 legs.

If you took all the humans in the world, and multiplied their legs together. You would have zero.
