-39 Chipotle is NOT good. amirite?

by Eliezer86 1 week ago

I went there a lot in college and always enjoyed it. I then started working at restaurants and become a better cook and started preparing most of my meals at home. I tried it again a few months ago and couldn't even finish my bowl. The beans and rice were so salty and the whole meal left me with a terrible after taste. I'll never have it again.

by Alexander93 1 week ago

It used to be really good. When Chipotle only had restaurants in Colorado it was a phenomenal place to get a damn good burrito. Not so much anymore.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I used to go to the OG restaurant near the DU campus. Chipotle used to be the bomb, but has sucked for at least 15 years now. I think McDonalds bought them and sold them later because they didn't know what to do with it.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

My last chipotle order was very good

by Anonymous 1 week ago

The last 25 years? Their decline didn't start until like 5 years ago

by Downtown_Abalone 1 week ago

The line of customers out the door at most locations says otherwise.

by Eliezer86 1 week ago

Just because there are a lot of customers, it doesn't imply that the quality is good. McDonald's has a lot of customers and I'm sure many people will agree the quality isn't great. There are other factors to fast food such as convenience which can factor into why it is popular, it is not quality of food alone.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I haven't been to a Chipotle with a line inside the store…let alone out the door….since 2018

by Different-Turnip 1 week ago

They never had good food let's just clear that up right now. It was always cheap filler.

by vinnie10 1 week ago

That was their gimmick. They gave you 30% more carbs to make the burrito appear bigger

by Advanced-Session3305 1 week ago

I hated chipotle from the first try

by Advanced-Session3305 1 week ago

I tried it a couple of times hoping the previous was a fluke. But yea never amounted to anything more than a fancier Taco Bell burrito with a bunch of rice

by vinnie10 1 week ago

Truth

by Advanced-Session3305 1 week ago

This is the answer!

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Remember when the pinto beans had bacon? Now they are flavorless.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Quality has gone way down, and the last time I went, it just felt extra, I dunno, wet. It was a turnoff.

by Hmetz 1 week ago

Am I supposed to be turned on by Chipotle?

by Hour_Recognition 1 week ago

Yes. If you aren't, you're doing it wrong.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Chipotle heavily salts their rice. If you're following a 2,000-2,500 mg sodium daily maximum diet the rice alone is already about 500 mg. I couldn't eat there at all anymore once I started my kidney stone diet.

by weberisidro 1 week ago

Thanks for this info. Trying to watch my blood pressure

by chesterjakubows 1 week ago

It's very well documented how chipotle have decreased their quality and raised their prices on purpose.

by darerosalia 1 week ago

As others have said it use to be much better

by Anonymous 1 week ago

This applies to all fast food restaurants and most normal restaurants. As a business, they all want more money, so their ingredients are the cheapest stuff they can find. You also can't personalize how the food is prepared. I liked the carne asade chipotle had, and now I've made some myself. I can add more lime to it than chipotle does if I feel like (I usually do), for example. I can home grill a burger that's better than every burger I've bought from a place in the past decade

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yeah chipotle is pretty bad now. The quality has gone downhill.

by PutridRazzmatazz7367 1 week ago

I've never had good tasting food from Chipotle. I tried it to see what all the fuss was about. It was just unseasoned and chewy.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's fake Mexican food, but as far as fake Mexican food goes, it's alright

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yes

by Cassinrobert 1 week ago

the quality is getting worse and the prices are as high as ever bro

by Sylviabins 1 week ago

It's also extremely overpriced. QDOBA is so much better and doesn't charge for guacamole.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's like $10 for a big ass burrito or bowl. A meal at Wendy's or McDonald's is pushing $13-$14

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Try $20 if you add guac at my location. $26 if you add double meat.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Lol that's simply not true

by Anonymous 1 week ago

That's for delivery…

by Anonymous 1 week ago

$0 delivery for over $10

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Keep defending chipotle charging almost $30 for a burrito LOL

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Real Mexican food almost always requires I go in to order and sit down to eat. That's just a different dining experience. For fast "Mexican" food I can get at a drive through and eat while driving, Taco Bell, Chipotle, Freebirds, and a few other places are the options. Sometimes I want something fast with actual Chipotle peppers and Chipotle does the trick. No question the quality has gone downhill.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I live in San Diego so chipotle is never on the option list. Sometimes you don't want a drunken cali burrito though and just need a good ol crunch wrap supreme. But even if I'm in Kansas, I'm getting taco John's ground hamburger before I go to chipotle!

by sweissnat 1 week ago

Whatchu know about freebirds youngin?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

oh woooooow that fast food steak wasnt up to your liking, what a fresh take. its above taco bell but come on lets do better

by Ggottlieb 1 week ago

I've never had chipotle, but steak from places like that is bound to be bad compared to good homemade cooking lol

by Glittering_Try 1 week ago

Good point

by Eliezer86 1 week ago

When they made the steak in house it was great. Its turd burger now

by Content_Big_4702 1 week ago

Me personally I don't think it matters if it's good. It's a healthier restaurant and has a solid macro breakdown as compared to other restaurants. I don't think it tastes as good either but at the end of the day it's good fuel

by Kleinmireille 1 week ago

I didn't know it was a controversial opinion.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Home cooking is superior to restaurants, and 20cent on a $

by Such_Tomorrow 1 week ago

Amen.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Quality tanked in 2020

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Bro got the most inconsistent protein and ate the bowl cold and then reviews it. Genius.

by Downtown_Abalone 1 week ago

It's so bad. Chicken luke warm.

by False_Product_5741 1 week ago

A salad with chicken, corn, black beans and kidney beans already has tasty seasoning so it doesn't need cheese, dressing or sour cream It's a tasty good deal for $10 and you can get extra corn and beans for free

by Roderick34 1 week ago

The one local to me always undercooks the rice so it's hard. After the second/third time I'm never getting it again. Ruins the whole bowl.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

As someone who used to eat chipotle everyday, my biggest problem is the inconsistency of the product. Sometimes the food hits, but other times it tastes stale like it's been left out for too long.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I only started eating Chipotle last year and I still like it and eat it too often but I can believe it being bad. Wish I could have had it in its heyday that everyone talks about :(

by Hour_Recognition 1 week ago

It's a fast food chain, it's meant to be acceptable and fast not be good. Surprised they don't have a drive thru.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's fast food, what do u expect

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I had the tacos there for the first time in my life. They weren't that good.

by Kuhnfred 1 week ago

I got terrible food poisoning once from either the pico or the lettuce and haven't been able to go back. This was back in 2016ish when they were food poisoning people all over the place.

by eaufderhar 1 week ago

Agreed, it's just so bland

by Rachel67 1 week ago

I feel like it's gotten worse over the last few years. It was good in the early-mid 2010s.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

chipotle tastes great when you're starving

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It is delicious.

by Impressive-Voice 1 week ago

the last time I had chipotle I diarrhea'd it out half an hour later

by isaias50 1 week ago

My chipotle order has tasted the same for the past 10 years idk what yall are talkin about

by SpecialistStorage 1 week ago

Chipotle is very good and depending on your location quite consistent. If you don't order online apparently. That being said, I have a chipotle dupe barbacoa that I do in the sous vide that bring you back to life. You can certainly make Chipotle at home. But Chipotle is fast and good and, hear me on this, convenient which is ultimately the selling point

by ConversationSuper590 1 week ago

Chipotle is nasty cafeteria Food

by Advanced-Session3305 1 week ago

This got an actual laugh out of me, I'm stealing it

by sweissnat 1 week ago

Qdoba is ten times better than chipotle. Local place called boobakoo burritos is 100% better than chipotle.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

If it's next door to taco bell, I'm going to the bell

by Defiant-Ad 1 week ago

.... lol?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

THANK YOU. Chipotle is so insanely salty. Ick.
