exactly. i wouldnt even know if i get creepy dms bc i don't check them on here anymore. i just watch the number go up lol. idk why people who will be put off by that don't just not look, unless they HAVE to look at their dms because they use it to talk to someone.

People just like having something to complain about, even though engaging with them encourages creeps to do it more so it's pretty stupid. You're completely right saying it validates it by replying at all, what really would piss them off is if they couldn't get a response no matter what they tried, but then we wouldn't be able to point and laugh at them for fake internet points, and so the cycle continues.
