Eh? Is this a regional phenomenon? Where I am (California), I think of fish and chips as being a food we get mainly when I'm taking a group with kids, because it's literally just fried, extremely mild-tasting finger food with french fries.

Not at all. I know lots of kids who love it and lots of adults who hate it. I honestly loved it more as a kid but my adult palette isn't as excited by its mild flavour.

I am still very young (24), but the older I get, the less deep-fried food I can eat. The last time I ordered a lunch portion of fish and chips, I could barely finish the fish. I took the french fries home for later though.

I'm old and would rather have a steak.
