-32 The very last human being will be a direct descendant of the very first human being. amirite?

There was no "very first human being".

He means the genetic eve. There is a first one but it's messy what that means. There is however one that we all descend from, which might not have been and likely wasn't the first human ever.

It was a lot easier to say first human than genetic eve but you are 100% correct. The mitochondria DNA doesn't lie.

Yeah but genetic eve and genetic adam doesn't mean first ever woman/man, just the woman/man we trace all of the mitochondrial/Y dna we have in the human population, but species evolve as a population so there isn't a "first human ever" even if there are some humans we all have ancestry from

There might not be a lastโ€ฆ :)

by Mental-Ad9076 2 weeks ago

Sure there was. It's the first creature to evolve into a human or Adam from the Bible if that's more your flavor.

Agreed!!!! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Technically, I was thinking of Eve, the one woman whom we get all of our mitochondrial DNA from. In response to the future, you are more optimistic than I.

If we evolve into a different species then we aren't human lol we're a separate species so there will be a last human. Obviously there was also a first as well it literally isn't possible for there to not have been

by Prestigious_Depth 2 weeks ago

When we go to a different species wouldn't that technically end us? There would be a last homo Sapien
