The Bible is FULL of sex and perversion, what's the problem.

by Pwilderman 1 week ago

Hypocrisy is the problem. Christianity is full of hypocrisy.

God made titties and hips. Surely he's not ashamed of them.

And I like mine. And I am glad I have hips and a booty and thick thighs. And I did get blessed by the breast fairy- though she took her time in arriving and in completing the job (I was a late bloomer). But this is not the beach. Or the gym. Or a dance where you are just a random attendee. This is a bride at her wedding ceremony. And had it been at a hotel ballroom, this would be fine- but not at a church.

Everyone just checked your profile.

by Pwilderman 1 week ago

Can confirm there are no titties on her profile

Nah. I think they should wear what they want. When I was a Christian, I was taught God doesn't judge people on their attire, just their actions.

To whom is it disrespectful? The god? The priest? The building itself?

by katrinadurgan 1 week ago

The community in general. There is a time and place for everything.

by Late_Inflation433 1 week ago

I'm curious what the time and place to be overbearing about other people's lives is...

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Like the chuch-going community? Are they there at the time? Even at church weddings, isn't it just invited guests?

by katrinadurgan 1 week ago

In some, they can attend the ceremony. It is often open to everyone.

You should worry more about what happens in the basement with your youth leaders amd clergy than the back of a bride's dress......

This is the strangest way I have heard of someone looking down their nose at others that I have seen in a long while. The crazy part is how it is just one step away from religions that force women to cover their faces. Prude flexing is weird.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

No, it is not. Forcing someone to cover her face can be a safety hazard. This is not policing the same type of attire at a mansion or event hall. This is not even policing one part of the attire, such as bare shoulders or cleavage. But when it is too many things adding up at once, it is not appropriate for the time and place.

Uhhh… yeah. Cool… I am getting an Annie Wilkes vibe from you at the moment. So… good luck with all of that.

Phew, I'm marrying on friday and want to wear an extremely revealing suit. I'm happy god doesn't judge me because I'm a guy.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

They do need to. Otherwise, these are two separate issues.

Go back to the cave you came from, please. This is 2024

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Isn't it in the bible that you shouldn't judge others? Mind your own dang business. If gods even real, ANY GOD, they'll care more about one being a good person not wtf they're wearing.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I don't card how the bride is dressed.

by Champlintheo 1 week ago

Mehh. If the church is cool enough for the altar boy to get his cheeks clapped by the priest, I think a woman having her shoulders fully exposed can get a free pass too.

by Specialist-Ask3346 1 week ago

It is not just a dress with exposed shoulders if it is tasteful otherwise. It would be a dress that is strapless AND has a plunging neckline AND is revealing in other areas AND is very form-fitting. Which is perfectly fine for a wedding at a country club or ballroom or the sort. But uncomfortable at best at a house of worship.

I was dresscoded in school cause my boobs were bigger than other girls...while i was wearing the exact same outfits as them...so like...at the end of the day what others wear on the day THEYRE the starts of and THEYRE paying for is none of your business.

Not true at all.
