by jarred01 1 week ago

It does if that's all you have

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Actually it doesn't, unless you shredded it yourself.

Making America grate again?

by Ikirlin 1 week ago

Any cheese > no cheese.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

fine if you're making a grilled cheese

by Anonymous 1 week ago

But it allows me to properly portion the amount of cheese I want, and it's helps if you heat the sandwich

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Ya I dont think it matters if heating the sandwich..but if not, shredded cheese does seem like a silly choice

by Hilda83 1 week ago

Squish it down. Job done.

Can't agree, some butter and shredded cheese between bread is delicious. Cheap and amazing

by Able-Maize 1 week ago

Idk, Culver's cod sandwich has shredded cheese and it's one of the best fish sandwiches

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Grated cheese is my favourite I always put it on my sandwiches 😊

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yea but you also put a superfluous 'u' in 'favorite.'

by Kariannefisher 1 week ago

not everyone lives in the U.S bro, and nitpicking something like that is kinda weird

by mattie28 1 week ago

Just relax we're only talking about shredded cheese and sandwiches

Til Americans call grated cheese "shredded" Do Americans call a cheese grater a cheese shredder?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

To answer your question we call it a grater.

by LetRepresentative20 1 week ago

I'm a huge ninja turtles fan and my cheese grater is called the shredder

by Classic_Pie3290 1 week ago

Way ahead of you. But definitely thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it.

by Classic_Pie3290 1 week ago

We usually use the term "grated" to refer to finely grated cheese like the Parmesan in shakers, etc

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Makes sense unless its melted

by Less-Fish-4133 1 week ago

What if you heat it up, then it turns into a glob. /Mindblasted

by Roobvivian 1 week ago

Except on grilled cheese where it's actually light-years better than sliced.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

The only time I would use shredded cheese on a sandwich/burger is if it is a grilled cheese. Because the cheese makes up the bulk of the sandwich, it needs to melt easily which more surface area and holes allow it to do, and it helps me portion out cheese.

by mattie28 1 week ago

I shred cheese and then cook the ham on the grill, put the warm ham on the cheese to melt it faster. Outside of that, I concur

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Just melt it a little bit and it's fine. Cold shredded cheese is weird on most things anyways.

by WishInternational427 1 week ago

Weird texture the hell is your grater doing to your cheese to make it feel weird

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I hope this isn't unpopular.

by OpeningFoundation 1 week ago

If it's the only cheese you have left then that's what you have to use

by mhowell 1 week ago

Totally agree

by Anonymous 1 week ago

People put shredded cheese on sandwiches? I've never seen that lol

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Unpopular for a reason. Is best way.

by Certain_Ad 1 week ago

The only time I would EVER do that is if all I had was shredded cheese…and it would certainly be a grilled cheese or a grilled SOMETHING. If you put shredded cheese on a cold sandwich you're insane

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Is this unpopular?

by LetRepresentative20 1 week ago

Who tf is doing that? I've seriously never seen shredded cheese on a sandwich ever in my life, I'm 39

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Absolutely not unpopular
