Peanut butter with no sugar tastes better than the regular one, amirite?
by Anonymous1 week ago
Peanut butter with no sugar is the regular one, imo
by Abbottbennett1 week ago
Not in America, or at least my part. EVERYTHING has added sugar.

A lot of health food stores have machines where you can grind the butter yourself and pay by weight. 100% pure peanuty goodness

Yes as an American, I never once heard sugar on the peanut of butter
by jarred031 week ago
All peanut butter in the US has sugar in it, unless you buy zero sugar, just like in soda. I buy the one with just a touch of sugar. However, due to the recommendation here, I'll try the no sugar one next time.

Sure if you only eat Jiffy or Skippy. Most people I know prefer peanut butter with only one ingredient, peanuts. Maybe a bit of salt, but that's it. The Kirland Signature peanut butter is as good as any.

I switched to Teddie Peanut Butter from the big corporations peanut butter, and I can't even tolerate the smallest bite of theirs now. Teddie is literally peanuts and salt. Of course it needs to be stirred before its used, but it tastes so much better than anything else on the market.

I tried unsweetened peanut butter in vanilla ice cream ABSOLUTELY SLAPS

Sugar in peanut butter is a travesty

The only ingredient I want in my peanut butter is peanuts.
by Ok-Daikon1 week ago
Yes, it does taste better. 😋

100% i buy the costco organic stuff and the only ingredients are peanuts and salt, and it tastes like im eating peanuts. if i want to sweeten it up i can just use preserve.
by Anonymous1 week ago
Why is this unpopular??
by No-Raise1 week ago
Because very few people watch peanut butter without sugar. I think most people (in the US at least) have never even tried peanut butter without sugar
by Anonymous1 week ago
Most people outside the us haven't tried peanut butter at all

If PB doesnt separate, I dont want it. Plus, i prefer to add honey instead of sugar.

Agree. I prefer lots of things with no sugar or at least only a bit. Coffee, tea, chocolate are all infinitely better without sugar.

As a self proclaimed peanut butter connoisseur, I would say this is more like comparing a dry wine to a sweet wine. People who really enjoy the complex flavors are going to prefer the natural, unsweetened peanut butter and appreciate the contrast when it's paired with something sweet like jam or chocolate. That said, sometimes I enjoy some Peter Pan or Skippy Peanut Butter and most people like it well enough without caring much about the nuances of flavors

Nope

Agreed! Plus it's easier to use it for savory applications.

In the early 2000s Ralphs had make your own peanut butter machines. He was a little expensive but it was great.

peanut butter has sugar?
by Anonymous1 week ago
Skippy is by far my favorite
by Anonymous1 week ago
Try Teddies unsalted. It's amazing. Skippy and Jif are nasty, imo
by Anonymous1 week ago
Agreed. But then I like the taste of food, not spices, not sauces etc. I want to taste what it is I'm eating, I don't want it covered up and hidden in sauces and such.

what in the freedom is sugared peanut butter lmao
by Anonymous1 week ago
100% agree with this one. Same goes for no sugar added ketchup.
by Playful_Baseball1 week ago
I absolutely agree. Whats even better is cocoa nibs that adds a crunch to w.e granola, yogurt, oatmeal, smoothie that you put it in. Has no sugar, high in fiber and so so good love it to nibs.
by Torphymortimer1 week ago
Agreed. Interesting that so far most seem to agree as well. Jif and such are nowhere near as good.
by Anonymous1 week ago
I like the fresh ground stuff with a little salt.
by Ugottlieb1 week ago
i buy the skippy no sugar added.. i hate the natural , stirring sucks.. any other pb has a gritty sugar texture
by Anonymous1 week ago
My dessert of choice? A bowl of PB (no sugar) and chocolate chips.
by marta391 week ago
Agreed. I had some Skippy peanut butter after eating sugar free peanut butter for over a year and the Skippy tasted terrible.

Y'all clowns putting sugar on peanut butter….why?
by jarred031 week ago
As long as I don't need a paint shaker to even out the consistency I prefer no sugar added nut butter.
by Capable_Wheel_84091 week ago
Peanut butter with sugar is candy. They shouldn't be allowed to label it peanut butter.
