+28 Not everyone is beautiful, amirite?

by lockmanmarcella 1 week ago

People just say that so that no one feel bad. What's wrong with this

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Nothing, really. Except the massive dishonesty

by lockmanmarcella 1 week ago

That's not particularly important when it comes to 8-year olds I think

by Anonymous 1 week ago

so you're 100% honest all the time?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I heard an interesting argument that it is basically denying pretty privilege exists and giving people the false impression that they will be treated fairly despite their unfortunate circumstances. It's like telling a poor person they have the same opportunities as a billionaire, might feel good to hear but isn't true and will set you up for disappointment

Living in lies is wrong. I am honest. Always and expect others to be honest with me.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

There in as aspect of tact, where if you have nothing nice to say you say nothing at all. It's great to be honest but why go out of your way to cut people down?

by sadie64 1 week ago

I agree. What im opposed to is answering in lies.

My teacher had a baby when I was in highschool and his other daughter was in my class when he brought the baby to school. Shes never forgiven me for calling her like 2 month old baby sister ugly. It was hilarious

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Oh yes, let's just F up a child's self-esteem instead.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should

Every dog has their day. It's rare that at some point in your life, your face & physique doesn't all align. I mean it happens some people just lucked out, but that's life.

So you like being an asshole to kids?

by stantonkrajcik 1 week ago

let this be a unpopular opinion. When people say that abovementioned girl is beautiful, they do not just mean the face but their whole persona. For example their humility. kindness, confidence, courage, Empathy towards people, Patience, Friendly, Honest, Humor, Emotional Intelligence, etc. Shallow minded people would not understand that.

by Specific_North_4026 1 week ago

People just want to be an asshole while using "honesty" as a fancy label.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Agreed. There's a difference between honesty and voicing every complain you have about someone else's body. Normal people don't feel the need to say everything that pops into their mind, especially when it's about other people and their own bodies. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. You're not helping someone by telling them they're fat. Like, ever.

by morissettekenne 1 week ago

Most people are average looking.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Do you know what average means. What did you expect?

by Specific_North_4026 1 week ago

Beautiful =/= physically, conventionally attractive

Help for what? For being onest?

by dalton89 1 week ago

Not everyone is physically beautiful - I agree. But as someone who will probably go blind by the time I'm 60, inner beauty is what really matters.

by Jonatan51 1 week ago

I disagree, I honestly, hand on heart, have never seen anyone ugly before.

by Gherman 1 week ago

Wait till you see me

by SolutionNatural1974 1 week ago

This is not an unpopular opinion lol

by Vcummings 1 week ago

The Verb "To Be" - A Root of Ignorance/Delusions/Misunderstandings

by Kulasannabell 1 week ago

if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all

by Anonymous 1 week ago

When a 8 year old girl Why exacrly are you annoyed with people not wanting to verbally attack/ hurt a child!? That example honestly is avsolutely wild. Not everyone is beautiful And it's not up to you to decide who everyone else has to see as beautiful...

by Striking_Crab 1 week ago

So, you propose for people to just tell the child that they're ugly, creating unnecessary stress, and breaking their self esteem?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Your opinion on an 8 year old's appearance is irrelevant and therefore you have no legitimate reason to voice it.

by PaintIllustrious 1 week ago

I've never seen an ugly person, so i agree, being 100% honest is important

by elsa28 1 week ago

I'm asking you, hypothetically, what if you did? Would you honestly tell them they're ugly?

by ErrorSad 1 week ago

But i never did

by elsa28 1 week ago

Honestly, hypotitcally is a really ugly word. So there's your answer

by elsa28 1 week ago

You didn't answer my original question.

by ErrorSad 1 week ago

That's okay, you're beautiful

by elsa28 1 week ago

You're still avoiding my question but I'll just drop it because clearly you don't want to answer it
