Richard Cheese will make a lounge jazz cover of anything.

by Anonymous 2 months ago

Core memory of MTV playing this song daily and me waiting patiently, only for TRL to show ~20 seconds so Carson could have a conversation with the visor hat from LFO.

There is a cover by Karmin of "Look At Me Now" by Chris Brown and others.

by Distinct-Muscle-448 2 months ago

Anyone in Hololive covering any of Calli's songs.

by mhudson 2 months ago

That song goes harder than you'd ever expect too. It stays a little slow for awhile though so if you get bored and think about turning it off skip ahead to about 4 minutes before you give up on it.

by lucianobailey 2 months ago

Falling in Reverse did a cover of Gangster's Paradise. It's exactly how you'd expect.

by Anonymous 2 months ago

YOU never hear covers of rap songs because YOU dont seek them out

by Qhoppe 2 months ago

Duran Duran covered 911 is a Joke

by Prior_Goose8395 2 months ago

Milow covered Ayo Technology

by Thick_Inspector536 2 months ago

guessing you mean covers that are also rapped, not sung (which there are a lot of) I'm thinking that if you covered a rap you'd sound like you were a. either trying to hard to imitate them or b. mocking them. which would be hilarious and I'm up for it

by Udickens 2 months ago

Baby Got Back - Throwdown

by kirlinnoemi 2 months ago

Here you go. It is a real good one, too. You can thank me later.

by Labadieadrain 2 months ago

There are a few metal covers of rap songs. A few of Lose Yourself specifically. Personally I'm a big fan of Rage Against The Machines Version of How I Could Just Kill A Man, originally by Cypress Hill.

by Reasonable-Dot9458 2 months ago

Rappers delight had a cover

by Bradyhegmann 2 months ago

Demonz In Paris by ONI INC, yes it's a cover of the song you think it is.

by Anonymous 2 months ago

I see you've never heard Taylor Swift rap Eminem's Lose Yourself.

by Abernathyfelici 2 months ago

Because it's all about lyrics. That's the genre's weakness.

by Anonymous 2 months ago

You're saying rap's biggest weakness is the lyrics?

by Anonymous 2 months ago

Lmao what are these people smoking?

by Anonymous 2 months ago

Yes

by Anonymous 2 months ago

You're an idiot then.

by Anonymous 2 months ago

You realise that the genre is more than just the simplistic stuff you here on the radio. Actually good rap has amazing, layered lyrics.

by Anonymous 2 months ago

You should really listen to The Gourds cover of Gin and Juice

by Anonymous 2 months ago

by Anonymous 2 months ago

Houstatlantavegas by Sonnymoon is wonderful

by Kind_Company 2 months ago

I know right, i see what OP did here, calling rap "songs" lol

by Anonymous 2 months ago

Im guessing youre being sarcastic as well but anything with a structure be it verse chorus verse, verse verse, chorus chorus etc can be called a song. Singing is not required to refer to a piece of music as a song.

by Anonymous 2 months ago

Then the amount of poetry that can be considered songs is astranomical

by Anonymous 2 months ago

Lyrics are poetry, silly human. Now speak that poetry over or with some musical notes or even just percussion. boom rap song. Keep it short or be it long. Flowing with words or melody strong.

by Anonymous 2 months ago

We still don't call poetry songs, so your definition needs some work

by Anonymous 2 months ago

Yet rappers sample other songs, a lot.
