+35 Kevin Hart isn't funny, amirite?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I think he's horrible in movies as well

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Agree. I try to watch him so I can catch him when he isn't yelling, haven't ran across that yet. Why is his face on so many pro mo's and commercials?

by whitegreg 1 year ago

Same the only movies of his I like is ride along and central intelligence

by Anonymous 1 year ago

He's the loud short guy

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I never noticed that

by One_Analyst_5693 1 year ago

His personality is centered around being loud, obnoxious and short.

by No-Event2987 1 year ago

Agreed, his whole shtick is playing victim on his ‘short' comings in movies… plus volume

by Dramatic_Bend_1864 1 year ago

He's just played out now. He was hilarious in his first 3 specials. His early movies were hilarious as well. Not as much anymore though.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Exactly! WE TALKIN BOUT NUTHIN FUNNY!

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I concur

by wisozkcoleman 1 year ago

I can't hear you, say it with your chest!

by lavina22 1 year ago

I concur.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

As a comedic actor, I think he's fine. Not great, not bad. As a stand-up, I'm with you, I'm not a fan. But to each their own. From everything I've heard about him, he's a nice enough fella, so just him being a decent human gives him a pass for me.

by tglover 1 year ago

He has his moments.

by Cold_Scale 1 year ago

He had his moments.

by petedoyle 1 year ago

Him with the other dude in scary movie lol

by MysteriousBeat8822 1 year ago

40 year old virgin

by virgil51 1 year ago

He's Chris Tucker if you stripped him of all of his talent.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I'm not a fan. I don't think he's funny.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

He's not funny. All he does is scream. Can't stand him.

by Ratkevivien 1 year ago

He tries too hard and it comes off cringey. I much prefer Kat.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

There's no way this is unpopular

by Anonymous 1 year ago

The Danny Glover impersonation in Jumanji 2 was hilarious

by Alexysmcdermott 1 year ago

This is not an unpopular opinion

by ReceptionSad6614 1 year ago

He's definitely overrated.

by tremayne35 1 year ago

He's like Dane Cook where the energy and cadence makes you think he's being funny, but he's really not.

by CommonSong 1 year ago

Was looking for this take. Totally agree.

by Aldensatterfiel 1 year ago

Funny, I think the opposite.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

He's a complete plant just as Kat Williams said. How else do you go from comedy cellar nothingness to multi million dollar Hollywood movies overnight. He didn't have Patrice O'Neal or Louis CK level ability. He made a deal with the devil. Wouldn't at all be surprised to hear he's sat on Harvey Weinstein's lap a few times

by Monahantimothy 1 year ago

His early specials were great and had viral bits plus he's widely considered an easy individual to work with. Combine that with some good fortune and thats how you go from comedy cellar nothingness to multi million dollar movies.

by Maleficent_Proof_125 1 year ago

I like him. To each their own.

by sage81 1 year ago

Honestly I've been hearing this for years lol I find him funny though

by Anonymous 1 year ago

He's going to peel back your pen cap blue

by Franco30 1 year ago

Agreed, can't stand him, even saw him on property brothers today, awful

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I agree. Loud is not the same as funny. Yell all you want little man, it won't make me like you.

by Fluid_Ad_978 1 year ago

Unless your name is Sam Kinison.

by tremayne35 1 year ago

I don't think this is considered as an "unpopular opinion"

by mlemke 1 year ago

I don't find him funny or entertaining at all. But he's loud, short, and likable enough that his brand of humor is easy to digest.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

"The way my checking account works…"

by lavadatreutel 1 year ago

You're far from alone on this... his shtick got old quick!

by Anonymous 1 year ago

He was funny in his first special like 15 years ago. He's also still good at roasts and hosting shows. Everything else.... Is just kind of tired and played out. Seen it all for years.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Say it with yo chest !

by Ezrastark 1 year ago

I don't think this is unpopular, even though KH himself is very popular

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Kevin Hart rips off so much of Richard Pryor's bits it's ridiculous

by cronamadison 1 year ago

Sokka-Haiku by Moodbocaj: Kevin Hart rios Off so much of Richard Pryors Bits it's ridiculous Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

by lowedestin 1 year ago

He just yells and has a funny voice… unfortunately Americans tend to like that. In the same way Australians seem to think comedians who just curse and swear constantly are hilarious. They have a target audience I guess

by Smart-Floor-4847 1 year ago

Same like he's alright in movies but his actual comedy I don't find funny

by Anonymous 1 year ago

He's the perfect comedian for a family friendly mainstream audience. People who are really into the standup comedy scene would agree with you, though. In my opinion, Mark Normand is the Kevin Hart of the standup comedy scene.

by elise63 1 year ago

I saw him live before & all his opening acts were funnier than him, also he makes the worst movies

by Reasonable_Key_9880 1 year ago

I think that must be the least unpopular opinion I've seen here

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Interesting. I'm the opposite. I prefer his stand up more than his movies. In all of his movies, much like The Rock, he basically just plays the exact same character every time. Himself.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I agree I love almost every movie he's in but his stand up work is not entertaining to me

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I absolutely agree and I can't stand him. The moment I see he's involved in something I can't watch it. He's just a small, loud annoying chihuahua that plays himself in every single role. He's found massive success and good for him but it's an immediate nope from me if I find out he's involved in something.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I liked his first 2 stand ups, then, nope. He is so fake and unfunny now. Just a walking caricature of himself.

by Faheylincoln 1 year ago

He's one of those people I like but don't like anything he does or anything he's in.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

This Kevin Hart or this Kevin Hart?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Oversaturation.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Saw one of his shows because I got free tickets. Opener was funnier and I even had a few beers after the first guy.

by ernestmcclure 1 year ago

I'm the opposite, I am not a fan of Kevin Hart in movies. I loved his comedy specials before he was super famous and was in any big Hollywood movies. Laugh At My Pain was one of the funniest things I had ever seen at that point.

by Special_Antelope7292 1 year ago

I always just assumed people found home entertaining cuz he says things weird and with confidence. Definitely not funny.

by WeeklySpray4189 1 year ago

It killed at the time, but it has not aged well that's for sure. I feel like he falls into the Dane Cook trap, good for the time since comedy wasn't as big and packed theaters but audiences now just want smarter comedy as the genre has grown. Not even more complex necessarily just better written at least.

by Comfortable_Song 1 year ago

He's an incredibly bad actor. I was unaware of, and couldn't imagine him attempting to do comedy or standup

by One_Analyst_5693 1 year ago

If he was a normal sized man, he'd have nothing

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Whatever he is doing, it needs to be studied wherever agents and marketers go to school. It is so admirable how he got so far with so little actual talent. His real talent is marketing himself as a brand, not comedy or acting.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I've never liked him

by Koepphiram 1 year ago

Most overrated comedian since Dane Cook.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Like most comedians he broke into stand up and have a couple of good routines. He made his way into Hollywood and found a good niche. Whether you like him or not he found his spot. Can be said about any actor or comedian.

by Suspicious_Jelly 1 year ago

Hart has some really good comedic material. But he did what a lot of "bit actors" do and leaned too hard into the bit. He has confused being loud with being funny, and that's all well and good for a few jokes here and there, but eventually, no one wants to hear you scream for two-hours during a set or movie.

by MolassesPerfect 1 year ago

Not funny and his movies aren't good either. Everyone blowing smoke about how good he was for the Tom Brady roast. I think he's so unfunny I was visibly uncomfortable the longer he talked. And he talked too long.

by Rosario56 1 year ago

He ok as a side or buddy character, but not as front or co star. Jumanji he is good since there is alot of stars in it. Like in ride along even ice cube could not make that funny

by Anonymous 1 year ago

That's why he's rich...just like Jerry

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Jumanji, I feel was his only good movie as well

by ramonajerde 1 year ago

LOUD=FUNNY

by Anonymous 1 year ago

LOUD=OBNOXIOUS

by whitegreg 1 year ago

He was great at hosting the Tom Brady Roast. Very funny.

by NoPenalty 1 year ago

This is not not unpopular. The thing about Kevin hart is he funny but he became to popular so people got sick of his jokes

by ValuableAmphibian489 1 year ago

Booooo! He was amazing on the Tom Brady roast recently. Truly world class.

by Worldly_Translator 1 year ago

Agreed he's not my favorite but he definitely has good moments my personal favorite is the ride along movie with ice cube

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Lmfao yeah I mean its not like it's peoples fault for gambling or anything. No let's blame the commercials

by FunTomorrow 1 year ago

you're certainly entitled to your opinion.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I agree! All his movies suck, too, though.. Basic, commercial humor for basic, commercial people.. which is like 3/4 of people. It's the same reason that corny, pandering music is more popular than more artistic, creative music. Or movies. Or fiction. Or video games. Luckily, there's that 1/4 of people who crave a little more and like the boundaries of their favorite creative mediums being pushed and changed, keeping it exciting and moving.. the artists in any medium who do that are the ones that become legendary. Call me pompous, or whatever you want, but this is completely true.
