+47 Sharp knives are dangerous than dull knives, amirite?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

no ones denying that if you cut yourself sharp knives wont do more damage. but you're way more likely more likely to cut yourself in the first place with a dull knife as you have less control. its like would you rather play Russian roulette or flip a coin for whether or not you're being stabbed?

Not much chance of being stabbed in Russian Roulette. (I agree with what you're trying to say though).

Dull knives are far more dangerous, as you have to use more pressure and force, and the chance of having an accident is exponentially multiplied. Also a wound from a dull knife is considered a puncture wound, and lot more painful, and harder to heal, a sharp knife will make a clean cut that will heal really nice and quick.

More accidents happen with dull knives, therefore they are labeled as more dangerous.

Dull knives are said to be more dangerous because unlike sharp knives, they sometimes slip off the item they are meant to be cutting and hit your fingers. When this happens, they can leave a nasty cut because one puts so much more force behind a dull blade.

As some who was a butcher this is just plain wrong. A dull knife requires more force to use so your more likley to slip

Come, yell at me why I'm wrong! You explained why you are wrong Dull knives may take more force to cut That's it right there.

Who says a dull knife is more dangerous? That makes no sense, ofc a sharp one will be more dangerous.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

a dull knife is more dangerous because it can easily slip from what you're trying to cut

Okay sure, that is true, I just got the impression that OP meant when used on others.

This is incorrect.
