The problem is there's no talking to these people. They know better than you and that's that.

Be mad at the employers requiring doctors notes, not the poorly people trying to get them.

Yea, then add the people who aren't actually ill trying to play the system by claiming they are, clogging it up for those that actually need help. And how many "illnesses" are preventable if people (who have the capacity to) just exercised and ate better? I don't think people should get help in cases where they could help themselves and actively choose not to

Yep those are the people i was referring to, not the genuinely ill people.
by Anonymous10 months ago
And how do you know which people in the queue at the surgery are what you would class as genuinely ill? You don't, you're just judging on appearances.
by hbruen10 months ago
There are of course legit reasons to need one, but many, many people are just gaming the system and trying to get out of work

This is just stupif
by Anonymous10 months ago
Yeh sorry i should elaborate i didn't mean the legitimately ill people. Just the ones with made up illnesses to get off work.

And how can you tell when standing in a waiting room? Do they just look poor or do you go and demand to know what the problem is?

Unfortunately we pander far too much to the uneducated.

That's actually a very educational and sensible take on it. Easy life leads to lazy people.

The NHS will eventually have to be privatized. Hospitals have YEARS worth of backlogs….

Been thinking of going private for so long. Imagine the benefit brawlers though. Can imagine all their FB conspiracy rants now.
