Every form of dating/finding people to date has its pros and cons. There is no perfect tool to find a partner. That being said, apps seem to be one of the biggest crapshoots available.

Dating apps are like lottery tickets. It probably won't end up how you want, but the anticipation of what could happen is fun and addictive.

i sort of agree, but dating as a whole is a lottery right? you never know if this cute stranger you met in/on [the train, work, bumble, etc.] is gonna be a fun person or not, but you can have fun trying to figure it out

Bro, you're just attractive, congrats. If I "swipe right" 1000 times I get 0~3 matches, if I send a message I won't get a reply (likely because women have the opposite issue & May have 1000 matches). Never got close to getting a single date using any online dating app. I think any male that is able to get matches & go on dates likes it.

if you've never gotten a message back on dating apps ever then i'm sorry i feel for you if you only get one every month, ask them to go do something you'd be willing to do on your own (book shopping was my example). Finding that one person willing to go is a very exciting feeling that i highly recommend

That's stupid you can just meet in a crowded public space and chat and go from there. Virtually every date I've gone on from a dating app was set up within the first 3 messages.

Dating apps have about 5 men for every 1 woman, I think what you're describing is the competition on the men's side where women don't feel like they need to put in any effort because, well, they don't really.

Then don't even interact with the apps. I've had to take more breaks than I can count. What happens when everyone is tired? Because it seems like damn near everyone is these days.

i don't enjoy dating. i enjoy the actual relationship part. i also enjoy fwb's. but actual dating gets on my nerves.
