I think you need to go back and watch the older videos because they've always been goofy intros. The first one I watched was the second one ever, Riley slowly turns around and says "central park." The fourth episode has him talking about the tech linked logo he's been wondering about for "years." They're about the same length of goofy intros they've always been. Honestly they're generally a bit shorter than they used to be and sometimes they just get right into it.
