It's a product that has pictures of dying organs on the side of it in nearly every country and something that is universally banned in buildings. But yea, disliking smoking is totally unpopular.

I'm not talking about the idea of wanting to smoke or smoking in general, but more so about the attraction people have behind smoking, I'm saying that smoking isn't attractive, not saying that smoking is bad or unhealthy

People have different tastes. Some enjoy them and some don't. I don't smoke them but my husband does and my parents did when I was young. I absolutely love smelling cigarette smoke, it's has good memories for me.

As someone who's struggled with nicotine addiction, let me assure you that we're not smoking because we think it's cool or attractive. We all know it's terrible for us, we all know the smell is terrible. When life is kicking your ass, sometimes people lean on bad habits, it's not a moral failing, we all have our vices. Raw dogging life is hard sometimes. I mean, it is a little cool. I'm never gonna be a down on his luck detective, but I can emulate the N O I R V I B E S

I can never remember where I saw it but there was a comedian who said that when they see someone smoking, they have a much lower their estimation of their IQ than they did before. It's a bit mean but I realised I agree with him.

No, the quote wasn't saying that they are dumb or stupid. Perfectly intelligent people smoke. It's that there was a perception of it, when seeing a stranger etc they looked it.

The 80s and 90s are long gone. I came because of group Dynamics, no self control, cool jeans jackets and the Marlboro Man but I stayed because of addiction and now it's just sad. And I can assure you no smoker thinks he is cool. Perhaps those with a battery as big as my … but I don't think so.

Hmm. Maybe it's just me, but smoking is hot. The fact that you're literally handling fire probably helps with that. In tv and film, it's cool and goddamn sexy. You're not convincing me otherwise. In practice, kissing a smoker is gross and smelly. Might as well wag your tongue around in an ashtray. Fantasy and reality are always going to butt heads on this one, IMO
