Linkedin is an evil that someone, somewhere, decided to make necessary. Does anyone actually like it?

by AccomplishedRole9389 2 weeks ago

Pro tip - it's not necessary, just delete it.

I don't see any shortage of people being politically brash, either left or right on the site, but furthermore, LinkedIn isn't really the proper platform to be speaking about politics anyway, because it doesn't really belong in the workplace. I don't want to be uncomfortable if I have to go into an office and hear about someone gushing about a politician or political beliefs that are counter to my own values. I want to go in and work on projects and go home. You do have a point on inauthentic presentation, though. LinkedIn is full of people inflating their egos and their status. They should really just call it Peacock instead of LinkedIn.

This isn't anywhere near unpopular.

This is why I keep deleting and then creating LinkedIn accounts…because it hasn't helped me not one bit with my job search.
