Though I like pickles by themselves, they're the best when combined. For example on a burger or in a salad. I love me a salad with red onions and pickles

Drinking pickle juice -- I agree with you. Commercial pickles are often gross....but let's not forget why people pickled in the primary place (to preserve vegetables through long-hard winters when nothing grows).

A pickleback: a shot of Jameson and a shot of pickle juice = outstanding. Also, pickled cucumber is the default in some countries/ cultures, but pickled beans and peppers will be the default in other places. Maybe you don't like vinegar?
