-39 McDonalds Coffee is Better Than Starbucks. amirite?

by Anonymous 8 months ago

I totally agree with this, and appreciate that someone had the balls to say it. I like cheap black coffee; Starbucks black coffee is disgusting and McDonald's is pretty damn good.

by Townedomenic 8 months ago

Mcdonalds is known for having the one of greatest supply chain. They have an Big Mac index used to compare countries with Mcdonalds. They literally can source any food item. They have amazing chefs that recipe test all of their items. People think Mcdonalds and think crappy burgers instead of a very sophisticated restaurant company that can produce any quality food item that they want to. The distance between the level of skill and knowledge between Mcdonalds and a 3 star Michelin is huge. You see a Big Mac and you don't think that every single item on the burger is custom made for Mcdonalds but you would be wrong.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Didnt Tim Hortons have great coffee but they changed supplier, McDonald's grabbed that supplier and now Mcdonalds has good coffee and Tim Hortons is meh at best?

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Yes, that is exactly what happened and when I switched from Tim's to Mcds. I hate Tim's coffee now.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Starbucks black coffee is disgusting Everyone knows it tastes like a burnt dumpster fire. That's why nobody going to Starbucks buys it (unless they load it up with sugar). Outside of their signature brew flavor of burnt sewage, the place isn't bad. Overpriced, but decent. People buy all the other specialty drinks that Starbucks wants to sell.

by Actual_Nature6799 8 months ago

McDonald's Gang.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Even some gas stations have better black coffee lol. I'll throw Wawa in the ring

by Fearless-Quality 8 months ago

I think so too. A large iced coffee with cream and sugar is $2.13 at McDonald's and it tastes better in my opinion. I had Starbucks and it taste like burnt coffee. No thank you.

by Severe_Radish_4444 8 months ago

Black coffee to black coffee I would agree but Starbucks beats them in basically every other area because Starbucks isn't really about the coffee it's a milkshake you can acceptably drink 32oz of at noon

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Why are you calling me out like this

by Anonymous 8 months ago

This has been my opinion for years. No one goes to Starbucks for coffee. They go there for a 900 calorie coffee-flavored milkshake. People who like coffee pretty much universally agree that Starbucks is almost undrinkable.

by Icy-Barracuda-5687 8 months ago

I actually agree with you op...

by Anonymous 8 months ago

I'm glad someone does.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Get hot water and bring your own tea so she can be happy you are there with her

by Anonymous 8 months ago

I only like iced coffee. McDonald's is always watery to me.

by Friendly-League 8 months ago

Mine so far has been blended super well. I actually found Starbucks not to be blended enough. Who knows, maybe that's how it's supposed to be in my case?

by Anonymous 8 months ago

I'd agree with regular coffee, I don't like the Starbucks pike place roast. It's gross, the blonde is good, but not always available. McDonald's regular coffee is pretty good, I've never tried their sugary drinks. I'm sure all milkshakes with coffee are good

by Forward_Channel_5291 8 months ago

I genuinely believe this. I feel like Starbucks is driven only on the name brand, and societal peer pressure. It's like, people at work would look at you weird if you suggested anything but Starbucks after a 9am budget meeting.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

It is Mcdonalds they literally are known for having the one of greatest supply chain. They have an Big Mac index used to compare countries with Mcdonalds.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

They're more consistent. Their iced mochas are pretty damn good

by Reasonable_Force 8 months ago

1000%

by lorenakihn 8 months ago

McDonald's apparently has coffee deep lore lol this is genuinely fascinating to me.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Starbucks is lousy, but McDonalds coffee is slightly brown hot water. Entirely too weak - I'd prefer Speedway coffee at that price point.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

I don't enjoy my coffee too strong, so maybe that's why I seem to prefer it.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Starbucks is not good coffee

by Anonymous 8 months ago

This is too american for me, neither are good coffee lads

by Mountain-Dot-2352 8 months ago

Starbucks is incredibly over rated, and McDonalds coffee is surprisingly solid.

by carolthiel 8 months ago

Coffee is for sure McDonald's highest quality item on the whole menu and yes better than Starbucks or costa.

by FoxSerious 8 months ago

Yeah but Dunkin black coffee >>> All of them cafes. Fight me

by ResolutionGrand496 8 months ago

That's not a coffee that's a dessert.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

See, I don't even know that, I figured all drinks sold at a coffee shop were coffees, but they do also sell food, which is also not coffee.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

I drink black coffee, no sugar, tried it numerous times from Tim's, McD's, A&W, lots of independent coffee shops etc etc, nothing beats a Starbucks Americano but I never go there anymore, don't care for their union busting tactics.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

The biggest problem with McDonald's coffee is lots of staff do not properly clean the coffee maker. Starbucks is crap over roasted.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

It was me. I'm syrup.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

You're the syrup guy? I agree with you on the Starbucks coffee, but pure maple syrup is like the nectar of the gods compared to Mrs.butterworths.

by corkeryreinhold 8 months ago

Wrong

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Lol what?

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Not the biggest Starbucks fan but man I've had McDonald's coffee like 5 times and all 5 times I've tossed it

by Anonymous 8 months ago

A punch in the eye is better than punch in the balls. Doesn't mean we should want to try either.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Idk, I'm so touch starved I'd pay a homeless person to do either at this point.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

lol, I like your style.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

That I had no idea, that's pretty interesting. It is weird how quickly McDonald's started making something akin to Starbucks.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

I prefer Starbuck coffee because it's a lot stronger than Mcdonalds.

by Amina94 8 months ago

That I definitely see.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Do you mean McCafé? The coffee price in my country is very high, and I to be frank do prefer other coffees to McDonald's. But it's actually not bad, their cappuccino is quite nice once in a while, and it's considerably cheaper.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Actually, here in the United States we don't have stand alone McCafé shops! They are all integrated in McDonald's

by corbin70 8 months ago

Somebody told me this maybe 15 years ago when McDonald's revamped their coffee game but I haven't been to a McDonald's yet to verify. Also only had Starbucks once in the same time 🤷 (I managed a cafe and do drink coffee)

by ChanceSpare 8 months ago

Everyone skimming the opinion and agreeing on the black coffee (I do too), but I'd prefer a specialty coffee from Starbucks over McDonalds any day. PS, compare breakfast sandwiches.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

I've never actually had the food from Starbucks other than pumpkin bread. I might try a sandwich now.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

The last 2 McDonald's coffees I've had have been luke warm milky water. Never again. Greggs is the best coffee in the UK, or spoons.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

What about Dunkins? That seems to be a recurring response as well.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Dunkins isn't that popular in the UK, I've never actually had coffee from there.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

a caramel macchiato isn't coffee. i do love me a mc-rib though!

by clifton15 8 months ago

McDonalds so often has $1 any size hot or iced coffee in their app, so it is really hard to beat. I generally like the atmosphere of Starbucks better and they used to have a deal once a week (before the old Chipotle CEO took over), so now I just barely go there. McDonalds all the way. Nobody is touching the Panera sip club, though. Unlimited coffee, tea, lemonade, sodas for $13/month and it is a decent enough place to hang out. I just wish there were more locations.

by Holly88 8 months ago

Not exactly unpopular. I know quite a few people prefer just a simple, drinkable coffee instead of something absolutely loaded with sugar and cream. Getting just a coffee with cream at Starbucks is always disappointing.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

If you haven't purchased the red label McDonald's coffee grounds from the grocery store you are missing out. It's one of the consistently good tasting coffees to brew at your house. Ironically enough I don't like their coffee that they serve at their restaurants, but the home brewed is legit.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

As someone who worked at starbucks for a year and loves my coffee black, I 100% agree. Pike place is the worst tasting

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Starbucks isn't a coffee shop anymore. They're a coffee-inspired milkshake shop. Their black coffee is garbage and all of their mixed drinks are made in a way to cover it up.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Starbucks has never had good coffee, they make their money by disguising milkshakes as coffee

by Anonymous 8 months ago

To really blow your mind, 7-11 has great coffee b/c not only to they have flavors but they are constantly selling so it's never stale/old.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

I'll take the gross burnt Starbucks that tastes like coffee over McDonalds coffee water 10/10 times. Fwiw, Starbucks blonde roast is actually really good. They always have to make it fresh as pour over when I get it

by Anonymous 8 months ago

I live in Seattle, and McDonald's coffee is my favorite coffee. :)

by Anonymous 8 months ago

No

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Completely agree.

by Maggiokarelle 8 months ago

This is FACTS. I can never finish a cup of charbucks

by kochamir 8 months ago

Problem is mcd's coffee isnt very consistent. One day itll be better than any coffee shop youve ever had and the next it's literally the worse coffee youve ever had.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Like stomach wise? A friend of mine did say his was pretty strong.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

which starbucks coffee? Mcdonalds only has one blend. Starbucks has numerous...which starbucks blend are you talking about?

by Anonymous 8 months ago

All are over priced crap

by Anonymous 8 months ago

I second this

by corkeryreinhold 8 months ago

Blonde roast is good surprisingly

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Strained mud heated over Mama Junes crotch sweat is better than Starbucks

by Visual-Judge 8 months ago

Mama June deserves better.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Thanks for your time and for sharing your opinion!

by Anonymous 8 months ago

Nah Starbucks actual coffee is trash. I'd rather drink Maxwell house brewed from grounds that have been left out in the open for a month.

by corkeryreinhold 8 months ago

Their brewed coffee is not great but the special / flavored espresso drinks are good for what they are.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

You don't know what objectively means

by Corkeryzachery 8 months ago

low quality bait. congratulations for having discovered that you have a personal preference, just like everybody else.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

personal preference Isn't that what you base an opinion on

by Anonymous 8 months ago

You can ask for no sugar so at least you just get hot bean water

by Fair-Department140 8 months ago

Starbucks coffee is pretty terrible. I'd rather drink Dunkin Donuts than Starbucks. McDonalds has surprisingly good iced coffee, although they make up for it by having the worst bacon, egg, and cheese I've ever eaten.

by OldJunket1622 8 months ago

Dunkins is my next try.

by Anonymous 8 months ago

It's fine enough for a 2 dollar coffee. Starbucks charges you so much for the most mediocre coffee.

by OldJunket1622 8 months ago

This garbage is better than this other garbage. You're totally right 🤣
