If you think that people being annoyed by obnoxious, loud Disney adults means they are "corny" with "no passion for life" then idk what to tell you. Grow up. People are gonna be annoyed if you annoy them. Maybe look inwards a little bit and realize why constantly trying to be the center of attention is a bad thing?

hating on theater kids because they're theater kids is lame but a lot of theater kids seemingly do all they can to earn that distaste. I don't want to hear you sing Defying Gravity on my first watch of the movie. I came for the movie, not y'all. Anyone that constantly tries to center themselves is going to be annoying to people. Theater kids just do it more than average.

I personally think being a theater kid is pretty cool, because you're really putting yourself out there. I prefer instruments because nobody is focusing on me unless I'm playing a solo, but that's not the point

I don't care what you labeled yourself as back in school nor what you like. I would care if I paid for a movie ticket only to have some random singing like it's their private room. And this extends to cheering and anything else you can control (unlike people being startled or laughing, those are most of the time involuntary actions), no one likes your obnoxious ass.

Okay, theatre kids are totally fine, a lot of my close friends are theatre kids. But what's NOT fine, is singing in the goddamn theatre while I'm trying to watch a movie, no one I associate with would do that, and that's such a huge jump it's not even the same unpopular opinion in your title.
