La la land is the only musical movie liked. And I avoided watching it for several years specifically because it was a musical. I agree musicals are really annoying. But i think enough people disagree.

Yes this is why most movies are not musicals. Musicals are designed for people who LOVE those songs. If you do not LOVE the songs then musicals are not for you.

I don't like musicals either, but I think they are just not for me, and that is okay. I am curious, how do you feel about action movies? Especially movies with a lot of fight choreography and music in the background?

I'm not sure this can be considered an unpopular opinion. I'd say 9/10 people I discuss musicals with don't care for them, including myself.
