Cold pizza is better than hot pizza only if its leftovers. Any method I've done to reheat pizza the cheese always taste weird but eating it cold is fine.

It's an acquired taste. It isn't bad, definitely has its place, but I would never call it superior to hot pizza.

You said this wrong, people don't think cold pizza is better than hot pizza. They just are more like to eat leftover pizza cold as opposed to having to reheat it to a greasy and sloppy mess in the microwave or as a hard tasteless rock in the oven.

I've had and enjoyed cold pizza - usually when hungover or high - but it's FAR from ideal. I don't know who's idolizing cold pizza either.
