There's unpopular opinions and then there's just being wrong.

Not an opinion just wrong
by Anonymous5 months ago
It's objectively an opinion. And a couple of people have said it's wrong, so it's unpopular too. A bit low effort but it fits

Color isn't a matter of opinion. The color is midnight green, so calling it blue is objectively wrong.

Except it's not. The RGB code for midnight green has more blue than green. If you went to go get some paint of this they'd put more blue in it than green. So objectively, it's blue but incorrectly called green.

And people that see green as blue are objectively wrong.

Let's just agree to call it cyan
by Anonymous5 months ago
No cyan is brighter.

Ah, but the cmyk values of the color will show that it contains blue (cyan) and yellow, making it a shade of green. Categorizations like "blues" and "greens"are usually based more on pigment colors than light anyway.

RGB values aren't relevant here, pigment mixing is. That's why teal is a green, not a blue.

Everyone I've ever met with an art degree would disagree with you on teal not being a green. I used to be on your side of things, but I've had the argument so many times I've swapped.
