Deadpool movies aren't actually funny - they're just cringeworthy attempts at 'edgy' humor, amirite?

So, haven't read any Deadpool comics then? The character, tone and humour is pretty much how it should be.

I mean I've watched Deadpool and the comedy is hilarious to me. I've had a good laugh watching those movies but of course it's not for everyone.

I do find some of the jokes and humor in the Deadpool movies to be pretty funny. But it gets tiring and monotonous after a while, especially for anyone over the age of 16. Deadpool and Wolverine is not a great movie. The cameos and nostalgia really carried that movie.

Well yeah thats just Deadpool, many reviews point out they dont make him an every joke guy, thats why everyone else makes jokes too, his humor is funny to his audience but flat to others.

The Deadpool movies feel like meta-humor to me, like they're sort of making fun of the superhero genre, and I think that's the purpose of the jokes and fourth-wall breaks, and what makes them funny.

I agree with this and am thankful to have seen someone call it out. You just don't see people taking this stance. I would like to add though, we are way in the minority on this and I usually am. I liked most of the MCU things that have been overwhelmingly panned such as She-Hulk, or The Marvels. I enjoyed a lot of the edgier stuff too I just think Deadpool is a bit too immature and I don't know, like the jokes were made for kids but adults have run with it. TLDR; it insists upon itself

Went to watch Deadpool 2 in theater with 2 other girls and 3 other guys. All the girls and 1 guy agreed it was stupid and the jokes were poorly done. I don't think you are alone in this opinion. That said, the people I've met who loved it are either die-hard deadpool fans (or ryan reynolds fans) OR just some dude who doesn't mind watching 2 hours of seemingly endless, nonsensical action and bad jokes.

100% agree. The deadpool movies are severely overhyped for some reason, never understood the hype. A lot of my friends love deadpool, but for me from the very first deadpool movie it was like meh, whatever, kinda cringe. Tho compared to tho other actual s**t Marvel is coming out with these days, deadpool movies are masterpieces.
