The last line, LMAO

by Anonymous 5 months ago

LOL! It reminds me of this cognitive test I had to take where they give you different problems to solve and they make you click through it like that. I think it is designed to lower your score because it's so uncomfortable, you are distracted by the mouse and not focused on the test.

My man hands already need a large mouse, trying to use 3 fingers all at the same time would require an enormous mouse.

by Anonymous 5 months ago

not really NEEDED to have all 3 at once, but thats how i have always used mice since i ever got my hands on them, i only learned today that people only use 2 fingers to press the mouse buttons. the idea of moving a finger left and right to do 2 actions when all my fingers can stay in place and just press the one i need was pretty surprising to me. if by "you are regularly doing it" you mean thats how i use the mouse all day everyday then yes thats how i use mice all day everyday. also if you wanna get technical about it, i think not having to switch your finger's place between buttons leaves less room for error or slipping but i would assume like most things in life this wouldnt really happen if you are already used to using only 2 fingers for years

i dont drive but honestly i prefer the instant access when needed so i would do that yea

Until you sneeze and hit the brake in the middle of traffic

by Anonymous 5 months ago

Yeah, maybe there's some kind of game you could make that would require it, but as far as i know, it doesn't exist now.

same thing for me with trying out the middle index only method, my hand feels pretty uncomfortable lol

by christiansenjul 5 months ago

I'm only 25 and still 20 years behind :( But no. Op is right. I always use my ring and middle with my index just kinda chilling in the air

by Shanahantomasa 5 months ago

That's not like OP; that's even weirder bro. Your index just sticks out for real?

by Anonymous 5 months ago

It's giving "brake pedal with left foot" energy

by Anonymous 5 months ago

That feels like something you'd see a ragged detective, with a cup of stale coffee, a cigarette, and sleep deprivation doing in a 90s suspense movie.

I use rollerball mice - so all this is out the window :P

by Anonymous 5 months ago

I was confused for a solid minute because my ring finger doesn't even reach the right click, but then I remembered I'm left handed

by ImmediateBarber 5 months ago

yea it would be reversed for you lol

Ew who uses middle finger for scrolling?

by Rough-Cause-7243 5 months ago

Me.

by Anonymous 5 months ago

wait, since when? How? I'm probably not the best person as I use a trackball or trackpad.

by Intelligent-Beach658 5 months ago

True, but when deciding how to hold a mouse, scroll wheels hadn't been invented yet.

by eldridgemaggio 5 months ago

this is the first time i heard of mice not having scroll wheels initially thats interesting, anyways none of my friends (or me) are that old and as far as i know they (and i) weren't particularly taught how to hold a mouse by someone else so its probably just preference (they use index middle)

by christiansenjul 5 months ago

OMG I'm like you OP that's not the normal way? Wtf

by Anonymous 5 months ago

My middle finger can't bend the way my index does when scrolling. The middle part of the finger kinds looks like an inverted knee.

by Anonymous 5 months ago

You just have smol hands

by Existing_Economy_106 5 months ago

I had to do some experimental right clicking to see if you were right. You are. That's how I do it already.

by alaina82 5 months ago

I don't even use a mouse. Touch pad is my pref.
