+59 Raising Cane's doesn't deserve the hype and popularity it has, amirite?

by Joannie63 6 months ago

Agreed. The sauce is all they have going for them.

by Anonymous 6 months ago

Zaxbys is just salty… canes has better flavor and the sauce is better

by amyaparisian 6 months ago

Cane's is bland as hell by itself and they charge extra for like a tablespoon worth of sauce.

by Own-End4699 6 months ago

The hot sauce is free tho

by Anonymous 6 months ago

i havent had zaxbys but canes sauce is just salty

by Anonymous 6 months ago

Nah it's creamy and peppery. Learn ya flavors

by amyaparisian 6 months ago

These names sound so made up to someone who is not from your country. Like if two sitcom characters argued about a local fast food place

by shayne78 6 months ago

It's all about the sauce. Pretty mid, otherwise. I eat it every once in a while.

by NorthHospital7969 6 months ago

The sauce is nothing special. It's basically thousand island without relish and a bit of spices

by Anonymous 6 months ago

It used to be a pretty sizeable amount of food for a relatively cheap price. But over the years the price has gone up and the quality has gone down.

by Anonymous 6 months ago

I was thoroughly unimpressed. Bland, greasy crap, like all fast food.

by Anonymous 6 months ago

Honestly you're real for this. I've had some pretty mediocre food from there; same with Chick Fil A and their dry ass waffle fries lmao

by Academic_Chef_2978 6 months ago

I used to think Zaxby's was great but it has gone completely downhill these past few years.

by Rogahnkellen 6 months ago

When I was in college, so many people were getting Canes or hyping it up. It was totally overrated.

by raynormary 6 months ago

It's a pretty good movie from what I remember. Lithgow is always entertaining.

I'm about to go right now , need a midnight snack

I am in 100% agreement with you. I lived near one that opened last year and for at least 6 months afterwards, there was always a line of cars that went out into the street, and there was a pretty spacious line on their propery too. it was honestly ridiculous how long those lines were and for how long they stayed that way. it was like when popeyes first came out with their spicy chicken sandwich like 5 years ago or whatever. so i went ONCE, just to satisfy my curiosity. i was so disappointed. chicken was bland AF. ill admit the sauce is solid, but not good enough to save the blandness of the chicken. id rather eat burger king chicken nuggets than Canes. OP is right, the toast is the best thing about it.

Zaxby's is salty expensive trash I'll keep my canes thanks

by Anonymous 6 months ago

It's good but it's just to danm expensive anymore

by adelleryan 6 months ago

Walmart sells a dupe of the sauce, they are donezo for me now.

by Fantastic_Depth2365 6 months ago

The only time ive seen someone talk about it is posrs complaining about it here

by oscar54 6 months ago

It is sad when the Cole slaw is the item with the most flavor, more than the chicken, fries, and toast. I've always said if you need sauce to make the food taste good then your food ain't that good.

by Halie32 6 months ago

To me it's just chicken tenders, good. Yeah, the sauce is good too, but they treat it like giving out too much will run them out of business. Literally nothing special about it. I kind of feel the same about Chic Fil A. The most uninspiring food chains seem to get the most obsessive fans.

by fannie37 6 months ago

Zaxbys is awful.

by Evening-Paint 6 months ago

Zaxbys is my lord and savor. I moved to the west where these heathens haven't tasted divinity. My heart grows weaker every day I'm apart from my beloved zax sauce. During my withdrawals from the god-touched tendies, I've resorted to trying to crack the recipe on my own. I am close. But it will never be the same.... my soul hurts.

by Anonymous 6 months ago

It is just fine but nothing more nothing less.

by Anonymous 6 months ago

Not unpopular. Honestly it depends on who's cooking. The cooks are so stressed from constant dropping chicken. Some nights it's incredible, and sometimes it's like wtf are they even doing.

by Tricky_Set4934 6 months ago

hiw hard can it be when u only have like 3 things on the menu? just drop the tenders and fries into the fryer

by Anonymous 6 months ago

You haven't worked there or looked up their standards. You have to wait until the food is ordered to drop the chicken in the fry. If someone orders it well done, or naked (no breading) it affects cook time and drop size, which then affects serving speed. You also have to time the fries I think 90 seconds into the fry to get it right. If anyone ordered naked or well done bird then gotta adjust. Bird that's sat out for longer than 6 minutes is tossed. My kitchen would have like 10lbs of chicken waste a day, not even bad chicken just not "standard". This is miles beyond the other fast food places I've worked, including Chick-Fil-A, and while it's up to individual kitchens and managers to uphold standards, Canes does it better than a lot of others. I will agree with OP on one thing though, there's not a ton of flavor.

by Anonymous 6 months ago

It gets busy. Not too hard to understand if you think about it at all

by Astridwill 6 months ago

I work there. It's not difficult in the sense that it's complex, it's difficult because you're dropping HUNDREDS of chicken fingers, in 6 deep fryers, and you do that for HOURS. It's a physical and mental challenge to drop bird at the rate you insane people order it

by Hot_Cup 6 months ago

I mean I like it but it's expensive

by Anonymous 6 months ago

From my understanding, even though ivve never eaten Cane's, is that you are supposed to eat it with the sauce and not without, which sounds stupid but that's what i've heard people say and that is why the chicken is so underwhelming by itself

by Anonymous 6 months ago

I've had it a few times. I hate sauce in general. The chicken is fine. It is a bit more bland than some similar places but many of the others are just overbearing.
