That is a fallacy ad populum. There are plenty of popular things that certainly don't deserve fame. Not saying that's the case here, just saying that isn't the best argument that can be made.

This would be a fallacy if I was making the argument that its popularity makes it good. I'm not. I'm saying the fact that show was able to attract and keep a pretty large fanbase makes its fame deserving. Because that's the whole point of fame.

I've seen terrible anime in my time, and very few I have regretted with Fairy Tail being one of those regrets.... I had a friend back in the day that told me to keep giving it a chance and keep going through the slow slog because it gets better later on. As someone who is a fan of One Piece for example I am patient with these types of shows, but after I believe 200 episodes I just cut my loses and called it quits.... it actually got worse not better.... Maybe it is personal experience why I dislike it so much, but if those like my old buddy like it, I'll humbly respect their opinion, but it's just not it for me dog....

I feel like 12-episode seasons are overly short. I prefer around 50-60 episodes for a series in like 4-5 seasons.

I hate screamy anime. Does anyone find that genuinely funny? It's just too bad because sometimes the world and character designs are beautiful and then they ruin the tone with cringey outbursts.
